i've only been on this for a few days for my anxiety and sleep problems but i'm not liking it!

i take it at night to help sleep but instead it is raising my anxiety and making me fidgety. i read that sometimes that happens at the beginning

on top of that i'm getting explosive diarrhoea. does anyone know if the diarrhoea goes away over time or is that a permanent side effect?

i know i "should" keep going for a full 2 weeks but i'm not liking it and tempted to go back to my prozac which seems to work better. actually i was supposed to have both together but i figured i wouldn't know that the imipramine was doing unless i took it by itself. plus i don't want to take 2 drugs!!!

oops. one other thing. i don't see it in the list of side effects but...
my period ended before i started taking these meds. after a day i got very light bleeding or spotting.

i'm concerned as the same thing happened on risperdone and then my periods stopped althogether and i got leaking/lactating breasts. no way i'm going through that again!!!

Probably a good time to call your doctor to discuss - besides that is what they are there for...

Yes it can cause this. It usually will go away, but I know from experience that feeling really is not tolerable. Maybe you could start at a lower dose and slowly work up?

doc said to keep taking the pills but i stopped them 6 days ago and I still have non stop flatulence and some diarrhoea

these are the worst side effects i've had in such a short time
the nausea etc i'm used to but in 3 days:
- extremely agitated and anxious
- explosive diarrhoea
- non stop smelly flatulence

going to p-doc tmrw and will talk to him.

why would i still be having extreme flatulence nearly a week after stopping the meds?
