Thank you. Your words mean a lot.

I am so thankful to have this place, where we can have different thoughts, but kindness is still present. Thanks to everyone. You'll see more of me

Moonrise, a T is a PERSON first. My T is a CSA survivor. He has his own place that is for guys that is like PC. He is there as a survivor and a human - not as a T. And that allows him to do what he NEEDS to do to continue to be a healer and T. If he didn't do that and see his own T - and go to special events for men who are healing - well all that is the only reason he can help me heal. He has shared appropriate level of information with me that relates to what I am going through - and it has made a life-saving difference for me. I KNOW he KNOWS what I am going through and not just feeding me a line of bull. I could not see someone who had not been through their own trauma work because there is no way to get it until you have been there with this level of stuff.

Come here with your stuff as a human and let PC be your support network. You need it. And you deserve it. And just like you tell your clients - don't ever give up on yourself. Healing is something that happens with time and work... and with tons of good support.
Thanks for this!

Welcome!

I do believe that you can integrate the two parts of you...the client and the therapist. I've not been in your exact position, but what you describe about feeling split is very familiar to me. In my own journey, a very kind an caring T helped me to heal from trauma and grow into a new person. It can be scary, because it requires giving up the seeming security of old personas, but ultimately it is quite empowering.

That same T who helped me heal and grow, had his own life struggles. As I got stronger, I got to the point where I could tell when something was going on with him. It was difficult for me not to be able to help him, after he had helped me so much.

So, if I can offer support to another T, it would be an honor. I'm glad you took the risk and came back!

Welcome, welcome. I'm sure you're a terrific therapist as well as a terrific patient. No reason at all that you can't be both in my opinion. I happen to be a fantastic teacher and a rather good student at the same time. I don't see any reason we can't wear different hats (and wear them well). Looking forward to reading what you have to say.
