Hi Jexa,
I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. You work at a hospital right (or some other large institution)? Does it have an Employees Assistance Program (EAP)? When I was looking for a T before I ran into the problems you are having. I couldn't find anyone who could work with me. I ended up going to the EAP at my work and they were able to find a T and Pdoc for me. They had a lot of contacts that I would never have known about. What I did was set a meeting up with them and went in and told them what I was looking for in a T/Pdoc. They were able to make the contacts for me and find someone who was what I was looking for and then give me their name. I then contacted the person to make an appointment. If that person had not worked out, they would have been willing to find me another person. This took a lot of the calling and not hearing back, or hearing back but that the person was full etc, off of my hands and reduced my stress. The information I shared with the EAP was all confidential from my employer. You might want to see if your employer provides this service.

When I have been in situations like yours....when I need help and no matter where I look and who I ask it feels like a door gets shut in my face...it has led me to just where I need to be in the end. I don't know why it has to be SO SO hard sometimes, and it's not fair. I wish it could be easier for you.

Well try what works for you. Good luck. I feel you - all this official crap like money and time - i wonder if humans will ever have enough of those 2 things.

You are dealing great though.

jexa, I'm sorry this is so hard. I really wish it could be easier for you. You are in a tough situation of needing not only to click with the T but to also have funding and scheduling work out too. That just makes it really tough.

I don't have any words of advice, just lots of love

I support the side of you that would do that (and could, I'm sure, carry it off). What I have misgivings about is the other side of you that, at some point, is likely to demand support that even a good therapist would be hard pressed to give you. You're both, and I'd like to see the "two of you" make friends and learn to work together better. Meanwhile, I don't want to get into supporting one side of you against the other.
