Thanks for this!

No. But once, early in therapy I couldn't sleep. It was midnight and I decided to call her just to listen to her recorded message. I have both the office and her cell phone numbers stored in my cell phone directory... and when the recording didn't start, I looked at the number I had dialed and it was her cell!! Aaack! I hung up real fast. A minute later she called back and sounded very sleepy and I was sooo embarassed!
Thanks for this!

I told her in the session following the phone call that I was not able to go back to sleep. But, I mainly did that just to rub it in and milk it a little more as a way to get back at her, because she pushed me really hard during the session when we were talking about my past.
My T has woken me up before when she called me at 12:30am. Other times she has woken me up at 6:30am by texting me. I think she was trying to get even with me though because I used to text her at 3am sometimes but I always thought that she would have turned her phone off when she went to bed. I asked her once what time she turns her phone off and apparently it is on 24/7! Oops!!

Yes, I think they have to keep it on 24/7 because of emergencies...but sometimes when I call my T's office voice mail she has a different greeting when she's out of the office for a while. She gives the name and number of another therapist who is covering for her in her absence. (otherwise she says in the greeting "if you are a current patient and only in the case of a clinical emergency, you may reach me directly at....")

Thanks WOWY. I never thought that she would have her phone on 24/7. I don't know why, it just never occurred to me. It does make complete sense though...

My T doesn't have his phone on 24/7. My calls go to a voice mail that he checks when he can.

I actually like it that way, because he can listen and call me back when it's convenient for him, and I can call whenever I want without worrying about bothering him.

Although on days like today, I wish I could just REACH HIM.
Thanks for this!

So I saw my T today... Apparently I regress a lot. And apparently I have a lot of borderline personality tendencies. Yay me.

She says that looking at me sometimes my facial looks look like that of a 5yr old. Especially when I put on my "Pouty" face. She also said that there is a part of me that wants her to take care of me and hold my hand like a child. I denied that but she told me that even though I think I don't want that, it is unconscious. She also says whenever I answer things by saying "So?" or "So what?" or "But you did it too" it makes me sound like a little child. Hope that helps!

I know I definately regress in therapy at times, not on purpose but sometimes I would hear something I said and If would sound so child like. Or sometimes I say something and my T just smiles at me and it makes me realise it. I have BPD and have read a lot on it and many people with it (or in your case with tendancies of bpd) are very childlike. Some researchers say that really a person with BPd can be like dealing with a child who is trying to function in an adult body and world...thats totally how life feels for me. Although at the same time i can be extremely mature...far more mature than I probably should be for my age...so its confusing. For people with BPD usually they do have a deep need to be cared for, in the way a child does, possibly due to issues from the past etc.
Thanks for this!

Thanks Dizgirl. I wonder if that is true for me as well. She did say that I regress a lot in the same sentence that she said that I have a lot of BPD tendencies...I see her later today so maybe I will ask her then,,,

So I saw my T today..She said that the reason that I have so many BPD tendencies is because of what I wasn't given by my parents growing up. She also caught me EVERY time that I started to regress and would say "I want to see Adult Cats now" I am so not aware of when I even go into the regression state...
