Well, I saw my T again this morning. We tlaked a little more about boundaries and clarified a few things. She knows that this is tough on me and had brought up lots of SI issues for me. She said that she will still be there for me to help me through this process. So that aspect of it felt good...
Thanks for this!

I am glad she at least understands how hard this is for you and was able to offer some much needed comfort
Thanks for this!

Ooh! I just found out that I am allowed to text her "good" things if I don't ask her to call me back. Yay!! So as long as I am positive that means that I can still contact her every day through texts. SO happy about that!
Thanks for this!

So I sent T a text last night about some "good" stuff but didn't hear back from her. That was alright, I wasn't really expecting to hear back from her because it wasn't one of my scheduled text days. This morning at 6:30am I got a 2 page text from HER saying how awesome that was and how great it is!! Yay!
Thanks for this!

Well, I had my 2 days in a row of texting and T phoning me. One thing that I will never understand is why she waits SO long to call me! Both times were right before midnight!! It's kinda like torture waiting ALL day and evening for her to call and then starting to feel sad and hurt because I don't think she is going to call me. So I get into bed and am about to cry and THEN she phones....Oh T. -Sigh-

Have you asked her about this?
What thoughts do you have about why she waits a long time before phoning?
Thanks for this!

It takes my therapist usually at least 24 hours to reply to a text, it does my head in! I think she does it to me because she doesn't want to seem so accessible and she wants me to sit with the feelings and be patient, even if I hate it. I think with your therapist it's probably that she doesn't get a chance to reply until that time as its odd to phone someone so late x
Thanks for this!

Cats, I know its hard waiting for the calls all day and night. Better late than never thought, right Eeek! Those T's, I tell ya, they guide ya towards healing but sometimes drive ya bonkers in the process. I'm glad even though the boundaries changed a little, that you still are able to have a decent amount of communication with you're T outside of session. ((((((((((Hugs)))))))
Thanks for this!

No I haven't asked her why she does this. I think she likes to torture me!

Yes it is actually quite late to call someone! I generally as a rule never call people after 10pm. She is a busy person though...

The lastest my T ever called me was 11pm. She only did that one time and apologized profusely for waking me up. I'm a insomniac and that night I happened to be able to fall asleep easily and early so she felt bad for waking me. I told her in the session following the phone call that I was not able to go back to sleep. But, I mainly did that just to rub it in and milk it a little more as a way to get back at her, because she pushed me really hard during the session when we were talking about my past.
Thanks for this!
