Nothing wrong with that!

Me: "I'm not disconnected from my emotions. I just don't feel anything when I'm here."
(Pause)
Me: "Doc, why are you banging your head against the arm of your chair?"
Doc: "Because I'm not close enough to a wall."

It's official. I can even make therapists crazy.

Pdoc costs me $0.00. Sometimes I wonder if I am just getting what I pay for. Ooh OUCH! Burn Pdoc. Sorry about that!
Thanks for this!

I don't think so, if he is he usually changes his message saying he is away and will be back at a certain date. I'm not sure if he works on Mondays or not. He doesn't have a secretary either so I guess I will probably call tomorrow. With my luck he will call my cell while I am in my session with my Pdoc -if I go!...

Seriously this feels like a betrayal. Am I betraying my Pdoc by doing this??

So during the 8 years you've been seeing current T, you spent 5 of those seeing another T as well? That sounds super complicated!

I'm trying to imagine being in this situation with my T. I think (actually, I know) I would go to my session and be as honest as I could about how his words made me feel. Not in a blaming way, in a "when people talk to me like x, I feel like y" kind of way. And I would ask him to please be more respectful. And I guess I would see what happened after that. My T has said some pretty minor things by comparison to that text, and I've been really honest, and he's heard me, and it's been good and healing.
Thanks for this!

Absolutely positive. You want another opinion right? So why not go to someone who knows you and you trust?
Thanks for this!

Yes. I was seeing the other T before I started seeing my current T. He referred me to her because I needed a PDoc. So she was basically my dealer before. Then they asked me to choose between the two. I chose the one that I didn't have to pay and the prescriber since at the time I was taking meds. That's what made sense to me at the time.

Yea, I do want another opinion but I feel like i'm being sneaky. Like a kid sneaking out at night to go see a movie or something...

But you're not a kid. This is regarding your mental health. You have the right to consult whomever you like.
Thanks for this!

I guess that is a valid point. Just seems so backstabesque!

I sent her a text telling her that I'm mad at her and why. Never heard back from her.

I just want to cry and cry...and then cry some more. Not because she didn't reply but because I just feel overwhelmed...
