shoez, did you ever post about what actually happened in your appointment? If so, I missed it; can someone post a link?

Not yet, Ive been unwinding from it a bit...it didnt go so well. But I will
Thanks for replying to this thread, I like hearing peoples thoughts

Cool replies everyone... I would never ask her if she did..but I just imagine perhaps she does..It makes sense hehe they are only human. I of course wouldnt want her thinking of me 24/7 that would freak me out! but perhaps..just like..once in a blue moon if I cross through her head..

I think about being in her office a lot

I think she does. Sometimes I'll get a book recommendation out of the blue via email. Sometimes she'll reply to one of my emails. Other times in session she'll say something like 'I was thinking about you and...' and then there'll be some insight or something she thinks I'd find helpful. It's nice to feel like I can exist to her outside of our little window of time each week.

WHAT she thinks about me I can only guess - and I'd rather not - because as nice and as non-judgmental as she is, she MUST have some kind of opinion, especially after today...

I bought (and read!) a book my T often refers to.

I told her, "It's about death."
She said, "Really? I never knew that."

Did she agree or disagree?
And was she teasing me or mocking me?

My T told me, after a phone conversation on Monday, that she'd be thinking about me. I wasn't sure whether to be pleased or upset. Part of me was glad that someone cared enough to think about me. Part of me was upset, because I felt guilty for intruding in her personal life, even if it was just a thought...I felt unworthy of her care.

I got my answer today on this and I didn't even ask! I last emailed T Friday. She told me in session today, "I've been thinking about your email since I got it."

I love my T but REALLY??!! I wasn't sui*, SI, or anything! In fact, here's the entirety of the email:

In a nutshell, I still don't know what I believe. I feel just as agnostic as I did three years ago. Have I been pretending to have a faith I don't possess? Is that why I cannot seem to free-fall, to let go? My mind and heart are at war. Please pray for me. I won't bother you again.

I'm simultaneously freaked out and pleased!

I'm going to post about my session once I get home. I need to put my phone away and pay attention to my friends.

I wonder about this all the time, because I think of her all of the time. But then I remember that I'm not as important to her as she is to me...the relationship is unequal.

Yes, I know that my T does. She told me that everynight she says a prayer for her patients and that sometimes she will single certain ones out and pray separately for them if they are struggling with something.
