He's my bird, Peter. He doesn't get out of his cage much, so tends to go a little...nutty when he's out. When I attempted to retrieve him from the top of the curtains, he flew on top of one of the blades on the ceiling fan. When H's BFF tried to get him from there, he flew behind our entertainment center. I had to stick a pen back there to get him to climb up to get him from there. When I pulled him out, I grabbed him and he started squawking. So, back to his cage he went. Probably for a month or so.

Ooh what a great name! A Peter was my first kindergarten loves name . I have never met another Peter since then. Until the couch that is...and it was a bird...and I was afraid he would shat upon people...

Almost time for PB to go to bed...

I'm headin' to bed...... I'm supposed to be trying to see what my dreams have to say to me about ending therapy...... so I guess if I'm going to dream, I can't stay up all night playing on the computer like I usually end up doing on friday nights. ha! night all!

Morning all. I wish I didn't wake up at seven when I went to sleep after midnight and already have a sleep deficit. I dreamt that I accidentally overheard a phonecall T made to another client, where he offered her my appointment time.
Maybe I'll try to get another hours' sleep.

My feelings for T are all over the place: anger, fear, guilt, love, hope...
Is T the problem or the solution? I don't know.

Good morning! I am up early, b/c I went to bed early!! I am feeling much better today.. I hope it sticks!! Ohhh and my puppy is back to his normal self as well. It only took IV fluids, and two injections to stop him from throwing up.. Hoping this means it will be a productive saturday. Clean, clean, clean, is on the agenda.

I am still going to write about my session yesterday..

Good morning everyone. Healed I am glad you feel better. I was up super early as well, because I fell asleep early. But I have a headache. Now I'm getting a cold! I am going to clean tomorrow, during the cold rainy day when I don't want to leave the house. It was 80 yesterday, 75 today and 53 with rain tomorrow. Today is all about running errands.

Granite- sounds like fun time at the winery.. cleaning can always wait.

TTGB- Today is a cold rainy day for us, so it will be a good day to clean. Oh, and baking.. I love baking on cold rainy days.

Good morning all.
I let my self sleep in to 7:30. That's late for me. Now I have to make a beet cake for the harvest fest at the farm I subscribe to.

So my vegan couch friends: I would like to reduce the amount of refined sugar in my diet. What are the best options?

Are you trying to replace white sugar with another type of sweetener in baking or in general?
I do not bake a lot, but when i do, I often use dates or apples to sweeten. Honey, rice syrup, molasses, maple syrup and agave are all types I have used in cooking.
Thanks for this!

I guess i am trying to reduce overall. I don't use much sugar to begin with. Unfortunately when depression kicks in, my consumption of sugary starches (read donuts) goes through the roof. I can eat three or four donuts in a sitting. So I am looking for alternatives to give me just enough sweet to reduce the cravings with the overall goal of reducing the amount over time. I've got all but rice syrup and agave in the house...I've just never used them as alternatives to sugar. Time to learn some new cooking skills

The other goal is to eliminate as much processed food as possible. I am getting much, much better at that.
