The Couch! #21

Now I am heading with my youngest son (9) and his cub scout pack to a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, a bonfire and flashlight maze. Its a beautiful day...it should be lots of fun!

Yard is tidy. Tomorrow it's installing a gutter strainer, removing leaves from the gutters, and putting the rain barrel away.

Guess I should do a little indoor work too.

Can I just vent for a moment?

I feel like I want to just SCREAM....but I am too sick to even do that. I have no energy. I feel lifeless and miserable because this virus has gotten a hold of me.

And times like this make single parenting SO FREAKIN HARD....

I'm tired of so many things being put on my shoulders and not having any help whatsoever.....I just want to cry.....

Is it okay if I come in and say hello, and rest awhile?

I think I am going to make laundry soap now, get the laundry off the line if it's dry and fry up bacon for BLTs. Later couch friends.

sconnie892...Ah, laundry soap.....I'm gonna need to make some soon too....I've been using store bought for a while cuz I haven't had the energy to make some...but I've realized how much more expensive it is to do it that way. Do you use felsnaptha, washing soda & borax?

Sorry to hear you have a headache, granite....(( HUGS ))....As you know, I get horrific migraines, so I am VERY empathetic to those who have headaches or any kind of head pain....I hope it goes away soon.

omg. you young kids know what fels naptha is?? altho I don't make my own laundry soap. but my mother used to make me pre-wash like my dad & brother's collars & cuffs & underarms by hand twice, first with a bar of fels naptha (for cleanliness), then with a bar of ivory soap (for sweetness), before putting stuff into the wringer washer. is this why I have an aversion to doing laundry now?!

Hankster - Yep! I know fels naptha! I never really was exposed to it until I was around 18 and worked towards living frugally....so I made my own laundry soap, hand soap, baby food, cleaning products, etc. I heard it was an oldie. LOL

Healed - OMG, your son is ADORABLE! Poor thing did NOT want his hair cut though...LOL

Thanks...Hopefully, I will start to feel better soon. In the meantime, I just need to pick up my daughter from one birthday party and drop her off to another - and then I'm kid-free for the night until 11 AM tomorrow morning. Hoping to use that time to rest and get plenty of fluids in me....

Thanks for asking-not really sure why I am sad. Just a lot of stuff lately mixed with mood swings. I'm gonna go lay down and watch a movie.
