My nephew is so sweet, and my brother is one of the only good ones in my family, but if I go I will have to interact with many others. I just don't think I can do it.
WOW, that's a LOOOONG day at work!!

I can understand not wanting to go to your nephew's birthday party. Please do what you feel is best for you. (( HUGS ))

Good morning, my couch friends.....I'm still feeling pretty awful this morning, but mornings are usually tough when I feel crappy. Seems this virus has made its way up into my sinuses...my mouth and gums are even throbbing. *sigh*

Hoping that as the day goes on, I will feel better. Keeping my fingers crossed. I have to go to work tomorrow and will be leading a meeting at one of our work sites...I soooo don't want to be feeling cruddy during that!

So....plans for today....Umm, gotta pick up my daughter from her sleepover then pick up my mom from church....My mom wants to do lunch, but I told her it will depend on how I'm feeling. Of course, she gave me "the look"....the "all about ME" look...GRR. God forbid she think of someone other than herself. I love her, but she is so self-centered.

Need to stop at the store to get some much needed groceries for my daughter.

Hoping I will have the energy to get through it all.

I found this on Pinterest. I think we need a few for the couch. And I need one for my house and t needs one for me in her office:

The Couch! #21
The idea of lying down, bare footed, trapped in a couchy type item with a therapist is seriously halloweeny type horrifying to me. And there is something about the idea of bare feet around a therapist as leaving one very much too too too unprotected.
I do like hammocks on my back porch. A therapists free zone. And I wear shoes.

I wish I could sit on my a s s today, but I'm sitting with my client in the hospital for a couple of hours today, then visiting a new craft store. Really, I'm looking forward to both.

Still doing laundry. Will probably be doing this for a couple of days.

In good news, H has an interview for an assistant squad supervisor position Tuesday.

In bad news, I wonder how the fiasco with my coworkers is going to affect me. The guy in the satellite office sent me a scathing email cc'ing my boss Friday, I replied cc'ing my boss, who sent us and my local coworker an email telling us to "cease and desist". I'm going to send my boss an email late next week (his FIL's funeral is tomorrow and he will be out until the next Monday or Tuesday). I will be on vacation the week he returns and I will not be sitting there all nervous wondering if I'm going to be written up or fired.

Chopin-that guy in the satellite office seems like he is really unprofessional.

Good news about your H. I hope the interview goes well.

He is usually very professional (is a pain in the a s s, but professional)...but the instigator is the girl at my local office. She apparently said that I discussed his salary which is not true because I have no idea what he makes. Allegedly, she also must have said that I bragged about making more money than he does judging by the email.

Funny thing is, I know enough about things that happened while she was direct care that I could go to my boss with an allegation of neglect, but that would be she said/she said so there's no point in that. I'm just not going to worry about my job status for 2 weeks. I will respectfully approach my boss once I know his personal issues have subsided.

Y'all, the issue is that my new coworker in the local office is bringing out the worst in both of us. While I know satellite coworker can be a pain in the a s s and I'm sure there are folks who would describe me similarly, she is the snake that is trying to work a wedge in. She is no different than my evil ex-boss. I hold her primarily to blame.

She has taken my words and distorted them. I hate this kind of s h i t. A part of me wants to look for another job, but I know the grass isn't always greener. Oh well. I've got to get ready to go to the hospital. I'm supposed to be there by 1:00. Hope my client doesn't mind me watching football!

Chopin - That sounds incredibly stressful....I hope you can be direct with this person and clear the air.

My plans today have changed. No lunch plans. Picked up my daughter, and she looked like crud. She is not feeling well - not sure if it's because of the lack of sleep during a sleepover and the fact that they had their guinea pig out (she is allergic) or if she's coming down with what I've had for the last few days. The fact that her resistance is low is not a good sign....Poor thing.

She hates being home alone - even for 5 minutes. But she insisted that she wanted to lay on the couch while I picked my mom up from church and took her home - which was about 50 minutes total. She must be feeling awful.

I see a nap in her future....

Oh my goodness - I fell back to sleep this morning and just woke up! I don't think I've slept in this late since I was in high school. Since I have a rare Sunday off of work I am going to try to enjoy it. (Enjoying it may include doing close to nothing.) I am still unsure about the party this afternoon.

Chopin - That's too bad that you can't trust your coworker. Especially since it sounds like you have a rewarding job when you don't have to deal with her nonsense. I hope the interview goes well for your H.

MUE - I hope you and your daughter feel better soon.

And hello to Lola, Jersey, Granite, Stopdog, and anyone else around this afternoon.

I'm off to make a quick run to the store.

Thanks! She's napping now, so I hope she feels better when she wakes up.

I hope you're able to turn your mood around and enjoy the day....and then possibly address what annoyed you with your H at some point, if that's worth doing.....Enjoy your lunch!

Lola, I'm joining you in football land. I suppose we're cheering against each other today!

My client is snoring away right now. She has some unexplained bruising on her face which worries me a bit, but with her, you never know. I just realized she's not restrained...and that's because she's no longer on an IV.
