Hello Couch Friends.
Congrats MKAC. Home from work trying to get rid of my headache. Ate some oatmeal just now and it was too watery. Hate when that happens. Hey, I managed to not get spit on today. There is a plus. Off tomorrow. Another plus. |

Hey....finally sitting after a long day.
MKAC...woot, congrats. Jerz...glad you didn't get spit on. So. My siblings have heard about mother's house being under contract. They smell money and now they surface. Today's deal is "Wiki really shouldn't have POA." Of course I shouldn't. My response "Her bottomless box of bills is in the corner, have at it." Well, no, they don't want to do that.

I want T now. Its gonna be a long week. I hate the off week. 50 minutes every other week is just not enough. Its just not enough. Its taking everything in me not to text T.

Mom faithfully handled (and still does, 4 years after my grandmother's death) all of Grandmama's affairs. My aunt, however, wanted all of her stuff. Grandmama gave H and me her king-sized bed years before she died. My mom has fought with my aunt so that we can have the bedroom suite that goes with it. Geez people amaze me sometimes.

![]() Jersey and sconnie, T every 2 weeks is hard. I hope the time goes quickly for you both. Do you have anything exciting or fun to do before then? ![]() ![]() Chopin, I'm glad your patient got released back to your facility! I can really see how much you care about her!! |

unfortunately, they don't want her "stuff" either, they want her money. I wish they would take the stuff, I've no use for it. I'd rather them take it than have to arrange estate sales. When she passes, they will be amazed at how little money she actually has left. sigh. Then they will come after me with torches.

I have tons going on - a benefit at work that I am organizing, a big community church service, bible class, and a Tastefully Simply party. I think I am freaking out because of my whole GP leaving the clinic without being notified. My mind is going to "What if t decides to leave too? What if her vacation was her really going to look at other places to live?" Totally irrational thoughts...

so sorry you are in that position Wiki. Families certainly can be trying. My grandfather passed away 1 1/2 years ago and my mom and her siblings fought so much that they haven't spoken in almost a year now. And for what? a little bit of money. So sad.

(((Wiki)))
My mom took care of my grandma for years and was the person in charge of her estate. She took my grandma to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, church, etc. She was the one who got called when grandma needed to go to the hospital which was frequent. One aunt helped where she could, but lived 30 minutes away. My other aunt lived 100+ miles away, came for fun weekends at grandma's house, then left my grandma exhausted and the house a disaster. I remember the fights dividing up "stuff" and my far-away aunt thinking she deserved more than everyone else and swore I would never be that way over "things" or money.
