(((((MUE)))))

((((SCONNIE))))))

Hello Everyone. Its Friday. Although I think at this point all the days just run together.

Major anxiety today. Took 3 Valerian Root capsules. I'm thinking that will help some.

Thanks, sconnie & Jersey.....I am still feeling down today, but I'm going to try to focus on the plans I have for today. Gotta finish up some orders, run to the store, meet a friend for lunch, deliver some orders, etc.

What's really dragging me down, I'm sure, is my ambivalence about finding a full time job. I'm fearful of putting myself out there....I'm fearful of finding a job and not being able to handle working every day due to my health issues...and I'm fearful of running out of money and losing everything I have, now that unemployment is coming to a close. Being a single mom is tough, especially with health issues. I guess the fact that this migraine is still ongoing, and it's been a week, doesn't help. *sigh*

(( sconnie ))

(( jersey )) - Hope the Valerian Root helps. We're here if you wanna talk.

Morning all. My H got up early and did my Jillian Michaels exercise video, unloaded the dishwasher, made lunches for the kids, and now he's trying to salvage a pot that he let rice burn in yesterday. (As in BURN, really and truly) Not sure what alien force came and abducted my H, but I'm liking this new one pretty well. LOL.

BTW, anyone know if a metal pot with severely burned on rice that appears to be intractably attached to the pot can be salvaged? We're trying steel wool and that doesn't seem to be working.

I've tried a few approaches in the past that worked pretty well....

Soaking it in vinegar and water has helped. Or, baking soda and water.

MKAC. I like the sound of the alien that took over your H. You can try soaking ammonia in it. Don't mix the ammonia with anything else though.

MKAC, does it look anything like the one in the pic of the link stopdog sent? If it's not that bad, then there's hope! 8-)

Unfortunately, it DID look like that. LOL. It's better now, so we're making progress. I took a knife and scraped a bunch out.

Good thing for my husband it was ME distracting him from the rice, so I can't even get mad at him.

I think I read somewhere to soak it in water with a fresh dryer sheet

Save pot with dryer sheet

Yep my dad ALWAYS used to warm the pots on the stove with a little dish soap. I had to check out the link to see if his idea was on there!

Hankster just posted the extent of my recollection of exponents.

Oh wait, you can subtract them, too! For division, I think.

5 with exponent (-2) = 1/25

and 5 exponent (+2) = 25

I'll try, but I don't think that my phone keyboard has everything I need to write out the problems!

(4exponent2)exponent3

Does that make sense??

You can use the ^ sign for exponents. (4^2)^3
