Wiki - I was wondering if pb would work in there. I will have to start experimenting. I bet some walnuts would be good in there too.

Was starting to feel really angry and depressed this morning and couldn't quite figure out why. Just now realized I had forgotten to take my anti-depressant. Hopefully, my mood and other withdrawal things clear up now. Today marks a week taking the stuff. Who knew it could have that much of an impact so quickly.

Can I say this is why some of my posts sound weird? I get caught up in the reading and forget to write.

How about ground up dates for sweetness and body in the cookie dough? Or black beans? These are some ideas from the Steven and Chris show. The Canadians have got it going on!

Dates! That's a great idea! I love dates. Black beans? I would have never thought of that one. Would that do something to the texture?

Oh bother... I've had a headache since I woke up this morning. I thought I was dehydrated, but drinking almost 28oz of water has not helped. Eating has not helped. Finally caved and took some ibuprofen. I better not be getting sick. I have a huge event for work tonight.

I have used mashed chickpeas in cookie dough before, it eliminates butter and eggs, has the same texture once sweetened. Dates are a great idea, I would use medjool...mmmmm.

I believe you can also use chia gel or ground flax seed for some of the oil in recipes.

The sun came out! I am going to take a walk around the block and see if it helps with this ding darn headache I still have. Then it's off to work...

hello lovely couch people....

just had a phone consult with an art therapist ... went well i guess, even though i only asked one of the questions on my list ... have session end of next week. the distressing part is that when I got of the phone, i started to cry... no apparent reason. ugh to this emotional crap. oh, right before the session with art therapist, i have a session with my reg therapy then a break from her while I do art therapy. things moving SO fast.

... so enough about me ... how are you?

Mmmmm... Panara bread. Love their brownies and orange scones. Sausage & Egg sandwiches are good too.

I thought I got rid of my multi-day migraine, but it's back. And then I had a meltdown, feeling completely sorry for myself. That made my head hurt more. I can't win this week.

((( critterlady )))

I certainly feel for you. I'm suffering with a migraine at the moment too. I'm hoping it will go away before I go out tonight for my all night investigation. That, alone, screws up my sleep schedule which sometimes triggers a migraine....going WITH a migraine, I can't imagine how I'm going to feel tomorrow. Ugh.

Hi RR...glad to hear you have a new art therapist... I always wondered what people did in art therapy... I am so not an artist... but I can see how it will help...

My friend, who lived close by and recently moved, and I used to color together (crayons and coloring books) and she said I was much more relaxed talking when I was in the middle of coloring like the part of my brain that filtered my words was too busy coloring ....

So for the last couple of weeks I remember seeing all these posts by the sick members of the couch...and feeling bad for you all but relieved I didn't have it well....

I am now sick. Seriously sore throat, stuffy nose, headache, coughing (illness always agravates my asthmas symptoms)... so its tylenol cold medicine, delsym cough medicine, steroid inhalers, nebulizer treatments time. Of course it happens when my H is away on a church men's retreat. so I still had to take the boys for haircuts this morning. but now they ate lunch and I can rest...

The walk seemed to help my headache some.

It's really nice out now. Almost 40 degrees. I wish I could go outside all afternoon. Tonight the temperatures plummet and we get a high of 4 on Monday. Windchills minus 5 to minus 30. Yippe. I better fill up the car today.

RTS - Ugh. Sorry you're feeling so cruddy. It's hard being sick and not being able to put life be on hold while you rest and recover. Hope you're able to squeeze in some rest.

Hello All. I am back from AC. Had such a relaxing day just walking around the outlets and then spent a short time on the beach. Our high today was in the 40's so it was not terribly cold. I could not breath in the salt water enough. I just wanted to sit there and look at the ocean all day. So peaceful. As soon as I got closer to home the peaceful feeling vanished. But, at least I got to relax for a little while.

Wow Jersey that was quite a find... I normally go to Ocean City and it is so hard to find shells that are not smashed into pieces.. I"m glad you were able to relax and enjoy the ocean.

I usually go to Ocean City as well. Its probably the nicer shore point. I'm not a huge fan of the crowds in AC or Wildwood. But Cape May and Ocean City suit me just fine. Ocean City is my fav.
