Possible Trigger but maybe not.

I am so floaty right now I have cut myself a few times while cooking, cleaning and putting knives away and not realized it until I saw the blood. My hands look like I have been playing in the blender. Or with a particularly rambunctious set of lion cubs.
I was going to go for a ride on the mc, but after the last clueless kitchen accident, I decided it was a teensy bit dangerous to get on the mc today.

My daughter has this computerized doll for her family studies class. It cries and makes noises like a baby, and drinks a bottle. I had forgotten how greedily babies drink and how they drink so hard they make these little gasps for air. The noises are really pretty realistic. But it did make me think about how desperately small babies nurse -- as if they are completely unsure if they will ever drink again. I guess I was thinking about that in connection with other threads and posts here about how desperately babies can be for connection and caring and not having that feels like dying. I never thought of it at the time my kids were small, but they do act that way. As if every need is a matter of life and death. Anyway, just rambling. Sorry.

LC's W for dragging her to church,
Wikid and everyone else who were actually in church,
And Hankster - who I thought might have been at mass, but apparently got too carried away by manscaping to pay attention to the couch 40 for a bit,
The apathetic posters who just did not care,
And the yurt dwellers for being asleep halfway around the world in their yurt hammocks.

Thanks, but they are not really all that serious, I don't think. It is more I just don't seem to notice it right now. I am ending up places and not knowing why or when or how I got there (I mean I can deduce the how, I just don't remember it) (I was upstairs last night on the couch, and I did not remember going up the stairs or for what purpose or how long I had been there)- not a good motorcycle day even though we finally have good weather.

(Ahem, ahem!) Did you maybe forget somebody in your acceptance speech? Just like the Oscars! They ALWAYS forget to mention the person they love the most, who has been there with them thru thick and thin, who nursed them to health when they were sick, who held their hand thru the rough times, who stood by them thru the storms...
Thanks for this!

As one of the little people, i appreciate your acknowlegdement. Peace,(or violence), if hippie terms are objectionable(and they seem to be).

Just watched the movie In Time. Pretty good. It was weird to watch as I've been feeling sui this weekend and the movie is all about time as currency and people literally fighting just to get a few more hours.

SD, I feel thoroughly acknowledged in your acceptance speech because I was one of the apathetic ones. Also, are you okay? Not only do I think riding the motorcycle, but also cooking, is a bad idea today. Do you often have these episodes? Is it dissociation? (You don't have to answer, I'm being nosy).

Hank...manscaping? Really? I actually need to do some manscaping myself; it's been 3 weeks since I shaved my legs (I know, TMI, but I want to say it anyway). I love winter!

CE, my T is a crusher AND a dissolver. Depends on the day and the lesson I'm supposed to learn.

MKAC, newborns rely on the mother for everything. I can see how an abusive/neglecting/fluctuating (attentive sometimes, inattentive the other times) can do a number on an infant all the way through the lifespan. I wonder if we can truly heal from that or if the best we can do is to accept it and carry on.

Girls do not manscape on themselves. At least not in this forum. I mean, sure in this forum, but generally speaking... oh, forget it!

Hello Pfrog...nice to see you Granite!

I think I'm going to be sick. I was cleaning the living room when I started to think, "Do I smell s**t?" My back door is wide open because it's nice outside. My dogs are in and out. I walked toward the front of my house where the smell got stronger. I discovered my sick poodle had decided (instead of going outside) to go into the dog's room and s**t diarrhea all over the room. It's like a s**t labyrinth. Thank God for Pergo floors. But still!!!

He's going to have to go to the vet. I'm going to have to go to the psych ward because I want to kill him.

What are Pergo floors? Are they some sort of super varnished floor?

Dinner time in these parts, I think that is why it is so quiet here right now.

BPA, Pergo floors are laminate floors that resemble hardwood. They are comprised of particle board with a layer of plastic on top. They snap together in pieces. The only problem with them is if something manages to penetrate the cracks, they will warp from the inside up. Because our poodle is also a habitual house pee-er, the acid from spots we didn't catch has eaten though parts of the floor. Still better than carpet.

I'm still cleaning up that room. Erg.

stopdog, I keep an orange in the freezer for just those times. I sit with it, feel it, look at the color, smell it. When the chill wears off I toss it, and throw a fresh one in the freezer.
I am pretty drifty today myself. I hope you settle, maybe a reading thru of Websters will help? I remember when I was a kid my mom bought encyclopedias one volume at a time. I would read one for weeks until the next volume would finally come in. She never got past P. I wonder where those ended up?
