That sounds like a lot of expectation all at once from your boss, Chopin. I've often thought that being a front-line manager is one of the hardest roles there is. You're close to your staff, but you're part of management. You know how to do things and how much is reasonable to expect, but higher management may not. You get the blame from your staff for unpopular higher management decisions, but rarely any of the credit for decisions they like.

Evening all Is there still space to hide away here? Maybe under a nice big blankie or something........

What a week, I feel worn out and it's the weekend now so kids and H are home so I have to put on a brave face and make like I'm ok. I just can't get T's anger at me out of my head

Nelliecat, you're from Bath?! That's awesome. One of my British Lit professors was obsessed with Bath. We must have talked about it for two or three classes.
Thanks for this!

I am, well, just outside, about 10 mins. It is beautiful. The architecture is stunning. When I go in with the kids I always tell them to look up at the buildings above the shops. We're lucky to have the city and beautiful countryside around us too

Omg, I have some stuffy sinus stuff going on today, and everytime I breath out it sounds like an animal crying. I'm starting to worry there's some sort of parasite in there!

Brave girl!

There is still a lot of painful work to do, but you've faced reality and that is usually the hardest part.

Hello everyone. Hope all you sick folks get well soon. Phenergan is the bees knees when you're nauseated.

I tried to make these and ended up with melted piles of cheese. I ate them anyway, but it was not the nice cheese nuggets in the picture.

Granite, I totally get this....and it's ok. I felt the same way about my daughter when I was struggling after leaving her father and then witnessing CSA which triggered all of those old memories for me. I didn't want to be around ANYONE, including my daughter. I know it didn't make me a bad person, but I understand the feeling.

I had to go to the store for something else... otherwise I wouldn't have had the ingredients either.

LC- sorry you are still feeling bad. Can you go lock yourself in your bedroom and let others take care of the children?
Thanks for this!
