That's for sure. It's a pretty zen thing. Sometimes with knitting you can drop stitches and fix them and whatever, but with crochet all bets are off, and you must frog. I've been doing more lace knitting and it's similar.... harder to fix something after you've already made it. Definitely a lesson in patience and perseverance!

That's amazing!

I wish I was able to sit down and do something like that - crochet or sew or something. I've tried before, but I just don't seem to have the patience or attention span for it. Now, coloring, coloring is totally up my alley!

Ohhhh.. And I met t's wife today!

I have seen her when dropping her son off to school, and at some school functions. However never met her before. Well, she came into school today (I let her in) and went into the office asking about helping out at lunch times. I am in charge of that schedule. So, she introduced herself, shook her hand.. and talked to her like I don't share with her H my deepest darkest secrets.. eeek! I will be seeing her every Wednesday at lunch time.

Yes, I am on the edge. However, I am trying to remind myself that I trust t and that I have told him so. We have often talked about how "connected" I am as far as the people that we both know, and the fact that I work at the school that he sends his son to part time. However, whenever we talk about it he always reminds me that everything I say is confidentail.

I know I say that to friends, but I tell my h a lot when it comes to what my friends share with me.. Just because I know he won't say anything. So, I try to remind myself even if T talks about his patients in general.. that he probaly has never pointed me out and said, I am his patient and this is what we talk about, lol!

Evening couchsters. Just catching up while waiting for my chicken to cook in the oven. Need to decide what I want to go with it. Maybe green beans and some pasta. Hmm...

Hope everyone had a good day. I'll pop in and out tonight.

I hate when they do that. I mean, I understand about not using broad spectrum blah blah blah, but it takes me so much effort to even get there, that if I have to go back when I'm even sicker?? That's why I ve stuck by my doc for 30 years! The times I had to see someone else have been a problem.

Ya.. The pa that put me on the z-pak even said there is a good chance that this won't work, but I have so many antibiotic allergies that he was try it. The guy that I saw today said the other pa should have doubled the dose that he gave me. So, they just added another antibiotic on top of the z-pack. We'll see.

What I do with my zpaks is, I don't wait the full 24 hours until I take the next one. I feel like I can feel the cooties winning and the good guys losing around hour 20 or 22, so I just go ahead and take the next dose before I get completely sick again. Then by the fifth day, I usually am okay.

this is why it's a bad idea to use urgent care or ER visits instead of doctor's visits. The doctor should actually culture the strep bacteria when they do the test so you are put on the right medication.

Even if that's the case MKAC... It would still take a couple of days for a culture and would put me on an antibiotic in the mean time...still a shot in the dark either way. Fact is, I got to the same urgent care every time and they are a heck of a lot easier to get into as opposed to a doctor's office with limited office hours...

I don't think it's the same because IF the culture were done, you would not need to go back in. The doctor's office calls and says, "hey the antibiotic we gave you won't work for that bacteria. We called in a new one and you can pick up it up whenever." Saves me a trip. I'm not criticizing; just trying to save you a trip back next time.

My doctor has really pretty convenient office hours also, although no weekend times are available. It is actually way more of a hassle to go deal with the urgent care place, and the urgent care place is WAY more expensive. It's interesting to hear the opposite perspective. I wonder if it's a regional thing.

I pay the same co-pay for urgent care visit as I do for my sick doctor visits.. urgent care 6min drive from my house as opposed to a 25min drive from my house.

My GP is great as long as you are not sick. It takes two days to get in if you are sick. So I often go to urgent care. Also, I work 30 minutes from home so I can go to the urgent care near work on my lunch hour. I have an HMO for health insurance I my co pays are $25 PCP, $35 specialist, Hospital ER $50 and Urgent Care $20. Can you believe that? When we first had "ugent cares" in the area my copay was same as ER, then a few years later my co pay for urgent care was same as specialist...now urgent care is cheaper than the doctor?

I don't use urgent care very often for my kids. I usually stick to the Pediatrician but they are better about fitting in sick kids then my dr is about fitting in sick adults.
