My job in my family was to be the peacemaker...the smoother... therefore every fight, chaos and violence that broke out was my fault... if I was just still a baby, or cuter... or sweeter... I could have kept everyone happy....

but I was never enough to stop it

I am the same way...cant tolerate anyone being upset with me. Funny that many of us seem to have the same issues. Guess perhaps they are related.

Its exhausting spending your whole life reading every situation from every angle so no one will be upset/disappointed/angry...

My H has told me some brutally honest crap that I have every right to be angry about and I haven't been able to be but one time when I exploded.... its rediculous...

Makes me think that T's must never be surprised by anything we say, we all seem to have the same interrelated issues. So much for being unique

Yes.... well people come to expect us to be doormats so when we do learn some boundaries they don't know what to do with us... truthfully this whole thing makes it hard to know if we are acting "normal" or not.

Are you really buying Lola? I'm thinking of renting this time. As a single woman, who isn't very handy, I am thinking I don't want to have to worry about upkeep.

A condo could be an alternative. Although renting is good especially if you aren't sure where you want to live so you get to try out the area.

I looked into a condo first but then thought that I would rent for at least a little while because I don't know for sure where I am going to end up living long term.

Hating or despising the inner child is not uncommon among patients, and it is not conducive to happiness.

I overcame it through therapy, but I'm not sure I can say how.

They have angry and hurt parents and grandparents. This is where legal marriage makes life seem more real, not for those of us who can't legally marry though.
