This thread really gets people talking...I do hope that the mental health system brings more good than bad...right, guys? But I did want to get this off my chest..

I went to a group called ventures..my parents made me I was nineteen and had had a 2 month long hospitalization..I found the group demeaning and unstimulating...I looked for a job, and found the perfect one for me. a babysitting job, which conflicted with the hours of this IPRT program..told them I found more fulfilling thing to do during the afternoon...they arranged a huge meeting...no one had ever left their program before it was a new program at the time..a leader by the name of Donna said you will attempt this job and YOU WILL FAIL & COME RUNNING BACK TO US!!! this hurt. i thought, i must give off the impression..that i cannot handle things...i went on to succeed with this family i babysat for many years and am still friends with the kids now that they're older..

liv

the reason you are now experiencing these flashbacks is easy to explain... your sub-concious mind is letting you be aware that you are now strong enough and ready to finally deal with these issues. running from them wont do the trick, they will catch up with you sooner or later. ive certainly learnt not to run, not to hide. but to confront them and deal with them whilst i have loving support around me (this site, PC). you can do it liv, if you have faith in your self, you can do anything. i have faith in you, i know you can do it.

you do need to do what is best for you, and you only. and if that means leaving PC, well that will have to be the way it goes. it will be such a huge shame to see you go, it really will. but i know you are doing what you feel is best for yourself, so i have to respect that.

i admire you greatly liv, you are a true inspiration to many here at PC, and i know you have helped so many, including me.

please stay true to yourself, do what you need to. and want to. and stay strong.

sorry to see you go. Abuse in MHS? - Thread contains graphic triggering details. Abuse in MHS? - Thread contains graphic triggering details.
