Somebody please explain to me how is it possible to start working with a brand new t3. Here are the facts:

T1 : worked together for 1 year 3 mos
connection: good
trust: good
work: everything , csa towards the end
Left while working on trauma work with me, for another job, gave me 2 weeks notice.
Feelings: anger broken trust sad confused.

T2 worked together 1 yr 4 months she is leaving 5 weeks
connection deep
work csa and relatioships and current issues
feelings very hurt tears abandonment confusion anger ect..shutdown

I dont blame either therapist.
I just dont have any more energy or resources in me to want to continue, this has been a major trigger into my past. Please give me your oppinions.

This is so hard for you but it is not your fault. Can your current T help put you in touch with someone else so that you can process this. I think you will need to take time to find someone who hopefully won't move on and with whom you can start a new and healing relationship with. I'm so sorry this has happened. It is really tough and I feel for you. I am sorry I can't be more helpful. I am thinking of you. You will get through this.

She has set up 2 therapists for me to choose from, I still have 5 weeks with her, im supposed to have 1 session each separately with my t included to see which is the best fit.

problem is that I have shut down I have no more trust to offer. This has triggered me in major ways. I feel like a kid like when my mom use to leave me somewhere and pick me up a couple of days later.

It's okay to feel what you're feeling. It's not easy, but this will pass (not be forgotten).

I had a similar problem transitioning from T6 to T7. T6 helped me find T7, they never knew each other. T7 was a rushed decision. I accepted her because I didn't have the energy to find someone else. Spent 2 years with T7...what a waste...

Be patient with yourself. Be honest with yourself. If something isn't working, don't settle for mediocre. You now know what a "good" T for you is. You will always have the lessons and memories from T1 and T2. Hold on to those...they are valuable and precious. And maybe you can ask T2 to remember her by: a stuffed animal, a letter, a photo, etc. And maybe she'd be willing to stay in contact?

I really feel for you. Lots of love and best wishes!

I think it's possible for you to start over with a new T. You need to tell each prospective T what you posted here, and ask how they will help you trust them? If you go with your gut feeling, then it can work. If neither T seems right, then say that, and have your T look for someone else.

You CAN do this. It's not easy, but you can. I started over with a new T after 6 years with one, and she (my current T) has been wonderful. It's not totally like starting over because you've learned some things about yourself from the other therapies. Be honest with your T and with the ones she is suggesting. I wish you luck.

I see. Well, Im sorry to hear you have to go through this again. I know its easier said than done but your recovery is worth another shot. Im sure you have taken things from certain each therapist you have worked with, hopefully you can with this one.

Sorry for your struggles
