Well, good morning. I'm up early because I didn't sleep last night. I'd been doing so good with my sleep schedule. I had to go off birth control because I lacked insurance, but I finally received my card (went on H's plan). I just need to schedule my annual. Ick. My hormones are out of whack already and even though it was that time of the month two weeks ago, it came back last night with a vengeance. That might be why I didn't sleep, plus I have a 4-5 page paper to write about 6 disparate topics related to the counseling profession. I'm not that fond of my professor...I think she's new to online teaching...because she is not clear about what she wants us to do. Then again, that might be part of being in a master's program, IDK. Trying to relearn APA formatting has been interesting too, especially since the internet was in infancy when I was in college. I have to learn how to cite electronic sources. Blah.

So, whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever time it is, I hope that each of you has the greatest Sunday possible.
Ick and blah to you too!

CE...how are you doing? I was sorry to hear about your cat.... Its amazing how much they become a part of the family...and have a place in our hearts.

I had a kitty I loved very much and she died at 2 years old from feline leukemia. (Its a long story) I was so grieved by her loss ... it took me 15 years to get another kitty because I couldn't bear the thought of losing another one.

I've read a whole lot of books lately (nine in less than two months) but I can hardly remember the last time I felt emotional when finishing one of them. I don't read fiction that often and I was really skeptical about this book (The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky) when I first started reading it. It's generally not the kind of book I enjoy, but this one really grew on me. The main character grew on me. And now it's like I'm almost a little bit afraid of starting a new book just in case it won't be as good as this one.

Do you know what I mean?

I love books.

I love books too! My New Year's resolution this year was to try and read a book every month. I really enjoyed "the perks off being a wallflower" too. There was an innocent sweetness to the narrator that I liked. Right now I'm reading "It's Kind of a Funny Story" by Ned Vizzini.

Are we taking bets on the game today? I guess the Bostonians are Team Brady, but I am Team Manning - us old folks gotta stick together!

Sounds like a good resolution!

I've never heard of It's Kind of a Funny Story. What's it about? You liking it so far? I started reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green today. I've read 65 pages and so far so good.

Sometimes I get annoyed with myself. One little mean comment (it probably wasn't even that mean) from someone on the internet (not on PC) and I get really insecure, anxious and irritated. Can't let it go now. Great, neutrino, great.

Ok, scratch that. The comment (now comments) was mean.

EDIT: Seriously, why can't I let things like this go? I have no idea who this person is and he/she has no idea who I am but I still feel attacked. It's strange how something so small can trigger this kind of reaction.

Just gave K some prunes. Waiting for 5th load of laundry to wash and listening to iTunes on my phone. American Pie is playing right now.

Today is going by pretty fast. Probably because I started at 10 instead of 8.

There is nothing on TV for K and me to watch. Supposably she likes golf, so I had that on for a while...but it is pretty boring to watch in my opinion. Turned on college basketball for a bit, since it has a little more action than golf. But after 1 game it gets boring too (especially if you don't care about either team). All summer I watched Hallmark channel movies with her, but I can't handle an always ends happy and cheery movie right now.

So bored. Didn't want my phone to die, so I quit listening to music.

Getting hungry, so I ate some raisins. There is nothing else I like here today, so I will just have to wait until I get home. Maybe I will heat up a frozen pizza for supper. That is plenty if calories to help my med absorb and not make me sick. And maybe some OJ with it.

Ok, I need to quit thinking about food because it is making me hungrier.

I only like football when the players get dirty... if you can't even get grass stains then it really isn't football... LOL.. I grew up going to lots of high school football games.

I am hearing the flu is pretty nasty this year, I haven't had my kids get the shot this year, but I am thinking about it. I don't usually because my son is allergic to eggs, and there is egg in the vax, the doctors always leaves the decision up to me. I think this year, it is hitting the young really hard, and the benefits may out weigh the potential reaction. I had H1N1 when I was pregnant with my son, and survived.. but I can't imagine my kids getting that sick.

Ugh, that sux. It'd be valuable to try to look at your own reaction and see where it stems. The fact that you can't let it roll off your shoulders probably has importance too. All good to explore - but grueling as well.

The flu. Ugh. My daughter hasn't gotten a flu shot yet because her doctor dropped our insurance....the local pharmacies offer it - but not to children. I'm wondering if it's worth trying to get now - maybe at an urgent care facility. Or, is it too late to be effective?

I got my flu shot, thankfully, since I work in hospitals and dr's offices a lot.

Yeah, I really don't know why I react that way. How can I figure out "where it stems"?
