Good Morning Granite. I hope you find a way to tell your H that you want to leave today so you have a chance to see your T.
Thanks for this!

Good morning, Couch. Happy Birthday Squirrel!

A day off for me today.. grocery shopping, and T on the schedule today. Although, at this point, I am not too confident that I will actually see him. I guess we'll see.. my appointment isn't until 6pm tonight, so I have all day to wait for his cancellation call or text.

I might have missed something... Why would your T cancel the appointment?

I am just being negative.. he has cancelled the last two appointments.. Today's appointment is the rescheduled one from the one I was supposed to have on Friday. Just not feeling very confident about it today.

Well I am at C's. He gave me a box of chocolates for my birthday. And he actually signed the card. So cute.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Healed...I really hope he does not cancel. He better not make me have to come up there.

Granite...so glad you are getting to go home today. I hate that your visit with them was so miserable.

CC...so what if she thinks you were being mean. What do they expect after that type of childhood? To be welcomed with open arms? Hell no.

Hello all Couch Friends.

Have to go to work soon. (At 10:30) Their dad is off-otherwise my day would've started at 7. Since it's MLK day they are off of school. I forgot about that. Oh well. Now with my extreme state of anxiety, the goal is to be able to make it through my day without everything seeming like its a really big deal. Will make it easier if the children are not beating each other up and are semi cooperative.

I know he's trying to get me to work on being healthier, losing weight, etc. - but I'm kinda pissed at the way he went about doing it - manipulative, indirect and in a somewhat humiliating way. Grr.
MUE....(((hugs))) I know it must feel that way, but I really see it more as "you're the nurturing type and I think you'd be great at this job" than "you really need to loose weight". Men are oblivious and say the stupidest stuff. They don't think a-z through with each letter, they are more like you need z so lets just get there.

I said, "sheesh Michael, I was prevaricating" He looked at me cross-eyed, and in seconds I knew he wasn't familiar with the word. I was totally embarrassed. Ugh. So use it with caution BPA.

No...you DON'T need her. What does she have that you need? Pain. Dead Weight. A Constant Reminder Of How She Effed Up Your Life? No...screw that...I DON'T need mine either. At this point THEY need US. And it's up to you how you handle that one. Girlfriend, you are far from crazy.

(((Jerz))) Thinking of you...sending peace and good vibes. I hope you can find something to focus that anxious energy on and distract a bit. Color or play with playdoh with those kids, that can be healing.

(((Chickie))) Wishing you safe travels. We'll be with you at your appointments this week. I'm bringing a safety pin so I can pinch you when you freak out.

I know that I am going to sound stuck up...
but that was a big issue. I need a T that is more intelligent than I so that I cannot manipulate the sessions.
I am not saying I am Wicked Smaht or anything, just that I am a freaking control freak, and if a T can't handle simple words, they sure as heck aren't going to be able to handle me.

C still will not agree to eat breakfast. He keeps saying no thank you. I may have to give him his morning vitamins and pills without eating.

About 5 minutes ago I stood up to go use the restroom. C tells me "sit on the couch". I tell him ms. squirrel needs to use the bathroom and ask if that is okay. C tells me "no sit on couch". He's such a stinker. I went and used the bathroom anyways, I just found it funny he said it was not okay.

babbling now....just babbling...because I am missing XT...

On more than one occasion he told me "sometimes I am really intimidated by your intelligence." Arg. That made me feel like s h i t. I don't want to intimidate anyone...I am a softy, honest. It was so dang frustrating! Grrrr. T's usually treat me like an idiot because of my stutter. They spell things out for me and patronize me. This one T that I really liked and felt close to was intimidated by me. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Frau T...

She would have been absolutely acceptable. She was witty, intelligent, and not once did she speak down to me. Of course, she also wouldn't work with me.

OMG.....

Need to stop thinking about this....

Perhaps he did not mean it in the negative way you took it. He could have been trying to convey a compliment. I would not take it as a negative, for example, if someone said it to me. With some people, I would take it as a given. With others I would take it as an acknowledgement of different strengths.
