What's up couch?

It's so painfully cold outside. I'm wearing 2 pairs of wool socks, fuzzy slippers, leggings under fluffy pajama pants, a long sleeve t-shirt under a short sleeve t-shirt under a hoodie, and a knit cap. In my (old and charming yet poorly sealed) house.

Warming myself up with a glass of cheap red wine and browsing recipe sites, looking for an excuse to turn the oven on. I think this weekend I'm going to make this: Ultra-Creamy Spinach and Mushroom Lasagna. Looks incredible. Thoughts on subbing cottage cheese for ricotta? My (very Italian) BFF would hit the roof if I foisted a lasagna made with cottage cheese on her.

Yes. I want to move to Queensland, but my wife says just take more winter holidays.

So, while we're on the subject, I've washed my son's bedding three days in a row because I did all the bedding on Monday and then he had accidents two nights in a row. Timing kid, timing... Anyone else familiar with being woken up by a Smell?...
And I am so utterly triggered by what friend is going through atm. Stuff that I just cannot be dealing with right now... I have a bootleg mini winecube from Target hidden in my sock box. I'd break it open right now if I didn't have to wait til cover of darkness...
I did a intake interview for housing assistance today. I'm sure it's a good thing, but they're all about 'empowerment', which basically translates to 'we'll waste an hour of your time asking a bunch of personal questions and then give you the same information you already have and tell you to go find a place on your own and come back and tell us when you do. Then we might help you out with the deposit. Maybe.' I'm not holding my breath.
Hurry up bedtime. I want my booze.

I love that chipmunk. Probably more than I should (thank Chardonnay!)

I sound like a lush don't I? LOL My T actually is like, "Hey, if a glass or two of wine makes you feel better in the evening, go for it."

I think he's as bummed as me that we have yet to find a med that works.

It might work just fine...I was thinking about consistency and also comparing the water content in each, but could not reach a conclusion regarding either! The recipe looks super yummy!

I asked my pdoc if he was frustrated with me and he said no, that he was frustrated FOR me. I mostly believe him...not 100% though. He wants me to try Emsam and that can't be taken with a decongestant. I have sinus issues and sometimes I need to take one. My pdoc said to me, "Does a decongestant actually work?" Um, yes...I thought that was ironic since he prescribes psych meds that may or may not actually work.

I tried emsam. Ended up with a rash from the patch. Sensitive skin ftw! *siiiiigh*

Oh yes...my calico stinks up the house. She knows it too...she does what I call a **** 'n run so there is no covering going on whatsoever. Her favorite times to go are when I am asleep (usually early a.m.), when I just made something to eat, or when I just got out of the shower. Argh.

I'm thinking it oughta turn out well. I will update here with pics and a review when I make it on Sunday. And I'll have an awesome dinner and lunch for the week.

Doing well on my resolution to eat at re$taurant$ less.

I was near Brisbane in November when it hit 42. I was promised pleasant spring temperatures! Still, it beats November in my part of the world...

When I hear the word "culture" I reach for my gun - Hermann Goering, attributed.

The internet is my culture. Plus I have CDs.

What the screaming fluck is wrong with me that I compound my horror over sending T two emails by sending him a THIRD email this week?! . WTF, me.?! God forbid I ever start drowning... I'd probably request a glass of water.

Actually, wait. I think tonight's email was the fourth. Even better.

So, I'm here, me, myself and my little box of wine. Should I finish it off and email T or put it back in the sock box and go to bed?
That was a rhetorical question in case anyone was wondering...

I hate being triggered. I'm drowning in stupid ****...

36 degrees c yesterday, thunderstorms overnight, rain, overcast and 18 degrees c today. Yep, that's Melbourne summer for you. But there is a lot of culture here, which I love.

I loved Melbourne - I've only been there for about ten days, in the early spring a few years ago, but it was a city I could imagine living in.

Shakey here's a hug, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time.

Insomnia sucks.

See y'all on the flip side, gotta find something boring to listen to so I can sleep a few more hours.

I think it's a great city, but I am bias! The only other city I've been to AND could live in is Amsterdam. I have a strong inkling that I would also like San Francisco, New Orleans and Toronto.

I liked San Francisco, and I liked Boston very much, but I couldn't live there. I could imagine living in Berlin, or London - but on the other hand I couldn't imagine living in Stockholm so a more realistic imagining would be in a small or medium-sized town in Germany, or the UK, within reach of the large cities. I imagine Canada and New Zealand are countries I could live in without too much frustration, but have never visited any part of them. Yet. So many places I haven't been to...
Thanks for this!
