I am turning into a popsicle. I wouldn't care so much about what it was outside nearly as much if my heating system could keep up with the cold. It's currently 57 degrees in my living room. Warmer in my bedroom because of my space heater but not nearly warm enough for me. I need a second space heater. STAT. I want a portable one I can strap to my back like a jet pack...

-16c right now. Boo. Got up to 3c yesterday afternoon. Today it is supposed to sit at -16c all day long. I can't wait until June so we can be done with the snow for a couple months.

Jealous. lol

We've been in a bit of s deep freeze for the last week. I hope next week is better so I can get out. Being trapped in the house just fuels my depression. I need to go do things... Or at the very least have the option to go do things. I know full well that I'd likely just stay home anyways. Or best case go to the grocery store.

17 this morning in Dallas. Pretty darn cold for Texas. I think we got through yesterday with only two earthquakes. We had 12 in 24 hours here. Odd stuff.

The wind chill is -11 F here. Both dogs and four of the cats were squished around me when I woke up this morning. It is nice not to have anything set on my calendar for today so I could just lie there and enjoy it. My son heads back to college today so I am staying home until he goes. I work until 11:30 some nights, but mornings like this make up for it.

Our water pipes are frozen. And we left the faucets all on last night. It got down to 16'F and that is way too cold for this old house! Living here should have come with a warning label. . .

Good morning couch! Trying to get the kinks out and move out of this bed. The nest is warm and the air is cold, so not feeling it. Have a great day!

At least I have a hot cup of coffee and after my son does his lessons for today, I think I'm going to play my video game.

I am in a video game mood today too. It happens once in a while. Lately I have felt like doing nothing but laying in bed. However, right now I could go for some Zelda.

It's so cold I don't even want to undress to get in the shower - so I guess it's a pajama day here. I cannot wait for spring.

I need my toddler to take a nap so I can soak in a hot bath. I need a hot bath.

I also need a drink but I think it's too early in the day to finish off the half bottle of wine I have...

I did manage to get up and make breakfast for the kids, help my son pack, put on my gigantic arctic coveralls and go out and air up my son's tires, and the tires on my little beater car. Son is now on the road. I will miss him, but we are planning to go to the State where he is in February. D is competing for a full scholarship at a college in the same State and we have to go there in February for her to participate in that.

It is a thread to keep us from hijacking other threads with random posts and conversations.
I think of it as parallel play.

Cats can be challenging in that fashion.

My elderly cat has taken to pooping in the bathroom or on the kitchen floor. She pees under the buffet in the kitchen or wherever she happens to lay for a really long time. The kitchen floor especially is driving me insane(r).

I have now started on my half bottle of wine and I'm actually feeling okay right this second. My T emailed me an encouraging email which surprised me as I don't expect responses from him and my H suggested I fly to visit a friend in a warm state later this month.
