I had a cat that used to engage me in a " conversation" after work. Some sounds youd to sound suspiciously like day and work. Sheeven had the upward inflection as if asking a question.
Thanks for this!

LOL One of the cats I had as a teenager did that. I got him when he was 6 weeks old... I bought him everywhere with me in the hood of my hoodie until he got too big. He used to sleep under my arm at night and lay on top of my computer monitor by day. So we had many conversations.

neutrino, thanks for explaining. Why is your T in charge of when to stop seeing her and not you? Because you're a student? Don't you have a choice?

About being abandoned by my psychologist: not sure whether or not it's permanent. Seems like it pretty much is though, if I've understood it correctly. Three weeks ago, when we last met up, she told me we're not going to meet up for individual sessions like we've done before. Instead she told me to join a discussion group for people with the same diagnosis. It's only for 6 weeks though. After that I'm not sure what will happen. I asked her about it and she said we will probably have a follow-up session but then we might only meet up once every 6 months or once every year to go through my "plan" (they have individual patient plans at that place) where I get to voice my concerns if I have any and maybe change the plan a bit. As if that'll help. She said we might meet up during the semester but I'm pretty sure it won't be regularly like before. The goal is for me to be able to manage on my own. And sure, I can be independent. I just won't do well.

EDIT: She's a good person. I like her, which makes this even more difficult.
I think it is the system that is letting you down, more than the individual psychologist. I am becoming more and more desillusioned with the system, at least with the way it works when it comes to mental health.

I wonder if you shouldn't try other venues for actual therapy. I think I've mentioned this before, but there are psychotherapists who have a private practice but are still paid by the county, so you get the benefits of a T in private practice, but without the fee. That's how I have been able to see my T for as long and as regularly as I have: he's a private practitioner, with a landstingsavtal. And you don't need a referral for those.
Thanks for this!

So I finished the first part of my girl scout volunteer training today, it was two self-study documents and then each one has a test. A total of 85 questions. It started to feel a lot like work but I got 'em done today and emailed in. Next up is the overnight training in March, then I'll be certified to take girl scout troops hiking/camping. Looking forward to it!

I just finished exercising. I can hear my husband and toddler upstairs rocking out to Katy Perry. They're having a dance party. So funny.

Yeah it totally has. I've only been around for a few couches, but this seems to be the quickest.

Hi couch… had another driving lesson today. (sigh) aren't there any good instructors out there that understand driving phobias? Today's instructor was just ok but his directions are confusing "turn on your left signal (turns on left signal" Why are you doing that? Just listen first…") ugh and he ended 20 min early. Feeling ripped off.

Yes, the Amy thread is gone. Guess we can't be trusted to behave ourselves. I am really quite interested in the whole thing, though. And I'm not quite sure why.....

It may be they won't let it be discussed here either. I think the better part of discretion may be to simply move on.

This couch has been a quick one! I grilled outside today, ribs and pork chops. And then baked a cake for hubby's 60th birthday. After finishing the laundry, I'm gonna kick back for awhile and read. I have a whole stack of books I want to read - now I just have to pick one to start on! I have a couple by Robert Moss (about active dreaming), Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley (t keeps wanting me to read it), and one about Jung and Shamanism.

I read the mists of avalon a very long time ago. I did not think it particularly well written but it was fun to read. I enjoyed it.

Yep, I think you may be right. Still....I don't like not knowing. But, yes, time to leave it alone.
