You don't need to do anything over the top, or even out of your normal every day routine.

1. eat meals, not junk (haha I'm currently having a go with this one!)
2. don't drink (if you want to drink and want a big challenge, why not invite some people to go for a drink after a rehearsal? Socializing! haha)
3. shower regularly
4. put trash in the rubbish bin.

Those are some good, healthy goals to maintain while she's gone that you frequently struggle with And it will show her that you're learning from her - because her job is trying to help you live your life and manage every day activities!

Also - what instrument do you play? I'm not sure if you've ever said and I was wondering about that the other day!

Well winter break might be tough as you will have too much time on your hands but first week is perfect being very busy, no time to dwell. During second week you could have a project of sorts

1-4: I'm currently laying in bed eating chips after a shot of some vodka I picked up earlier. I haven't showered in a week and my floor is collecting trash.

So I guess I have a lot of work to do.

I play trumpet. I have said that before but it's not commonly brought up so you probably missed it haha

Plenty of time to dwell. 3 hour long opera daily. Sitting quietly in the pit for about 70% of the it. Listening to the characters onstage debate whether or not their lives are worth living. Waiting until the final scene that's actually pretty cool but so insanely dark and emotionally intense. It's almost comical how bad the timing is for this opera.

I'll probably just drink and play video games. At least I will still have work.

Funny description of the opera, sorry I had to laugh. I love opera but recently heard/ saw a bad production of Madame butterfly.

Just don't drink please anything else is good

Well, there you go then! Just focus on that. Make a schedule. Don't buy more junk food (someone, namely me, needs to take their own advice.....), and once the alcohol you have is done don't go to the store again. Which should be alright to do because you're super busy! Pick up the garbage right now as you've got the time to be online, and then keep it that way.

You can do it!

I don't mean any judgement by it ( have been depressed before and know all about not washing) but my whole body itches if I skip shower more than a day. I scratch if I skip one day plus I'd smell. If I stay home who cares but at work? A week feels long....

How do you handle the entire week?

When I was scammed I skipped a day of shower but next day I itched so so bad I had to wash. I didn't eat anything at all for 3 days though so trust me I know...

I wish this were Madame Butterfly. It would still be a lot of rest counting for me, but I love Puccini. I never get tired of him.

This is Dialogues of the Carmelites by Poulenc in case anyone happens to know it. The music really isn't that bad. The orchestration isn't great, it all sounds the same until the final scene, and the plot is very dry. The ending though is really really good and I don't recommend anyone watches it except for the final scene. However, in case anyone happens to be interested in opera and classical music and wants to look it up, I should warn you that it could be considered very graphic depending on how good the staging is.

It's very cold and I have been putting off forcing myself to get in the water. I have a problem with showering because of stuff from the past. It's something to work on.

I can't not eat anything for three days.

No one said not to eat! Just don't buy more junk food when you're next in the store. Buy something more along the healthy lines.

I shower every other day. My hair goes insane if I shower too often!

I'm not ready to eat healthy right now. I have an EDNOS and it's too much to try and fix without LCM here to help me. I also don't have enough money to fix my diet.

We all have our thing, don't we? I don't eat when depressed or stressed. I just have this itching issue if I don't wash. Like right now my back is itching so bad. Maybe it is just age lol

I don't wash my hair every day, I put shower cap on. But my body gets itchy if I don't wash and then I am scared of smelling bad in front of the kids

I love Puccini too. That particular production just sucked as singers are stiff like boards

I just kinda let myself smell bad. I mostly just smell like dirty laundry. But it's a faint bad smell not like how some people will literally stink up a room or suffocate people. My friends would let me know and LCM would absolutely tell me if I smelled bad. She's pretty honest with me. Lol I texted her a few weeks ago:

Me: "am I a b****? I feel like I am"
Her: "Yes, you are. But it suits you"

I'm at work and I kinda wish she'd randomly show up here again but not with her kid. I miss her and I don't even know why. It's not like we talk THAT much. I think it's just knowing that she can't be there if I need her.
Thanks for this!

Honestly, I don't miss her yet. Hell, she's still in Boston right now. She leaves officially tomorrow morning. I said goodbye to her today though so she's gone for me. But I somehow just feel homesick with her gone. I feel so safe and protected when I see her. I feel safe and loved just knowing that she's there if I need her. Now that she's not, I just feel homeless in some weird way. I feel like my soft place to fall is gone and I'm just lost in the world. Idk if that makes any sense.

I don't mean to bump this again or hog space. I know I've been posting too much. I feel really pathetic for being this upset. Am I?

Makes sense .. I have numerously time been in a rough spot and my T outta the office .. I went out and found polished stones , crystals , marbles , things that just were pretty ,, Usuaully my T is only gone 2 weeks at most.. But had 2 pretty glass bowls . each day I would move one pretty into the other bowl .. Visually seeing the way the bowls increased and decrease , mentally helped..

Each day I wrote down something I wanted to share with him once he returned.

Find a way to comfort yourself and self sooth. 2 weeks is going to flyyyyy by

Maybe you could make something for her or draw for her while she is gone?

Yeah I kinda want to draw her some deer. She loves deer. But every time I try, they never turn out good enough.

I've been crying for two days and it doesn't help that she's scared of flying. I worry about her dying and when she's worried too I just feel like I said goodbye forever.

Doesn't have to be a realistic deer. Could be stylized. Kawaii style is fun.LCM showing up randomly at work

I bet she would love anything you made for her.

I do have a personal style for drawing and it isn't necessarily realistic. My icon isn't totally realistic haha. But I enjoy experimenting with different styles. It's just never good enough
