I had a bothersome cough during the night, which woke me up several times. Finally at 6am I got up and emailed my choir director to let him know I wouldn't be singing at the sunday service today. After that I fell asleep and slept until 10am. Go figure. (But I wouldn't have been able to sing anyway, because my voice is all hoarse.)

rainbow, I don't think you are pathetic at all. If it were me I would wish that my T didn't let me know such things, but I know you do want to know when she is travelling. I hope that when she arrives safely that might help you worry a little less next time.

I talked about it a bit in T last week, but it is still haunting me. When you love someone you stick up for them, when they have been wronged. Heck, you may even need to stick up for them when they are being a wee bit irrational. Just wish, somebody stuck up for me we I was abused, or even saw the signs. Blah!

I know very well how it feels not to have the people you believed would support you vanish just when you need them. I'm so sorry this has happened to you as well. They run and hide and put their heads in the sand while the waves devour you. It says a lot about the people in our life doesn't it?

Bleh... Dehydrated... Headache. I think I had a bit too much last night... And probably shouldn't have been mixing. Woops. Time to sleep it off.

So, my big decision.. Do I want to spend my afternoon after church, sleeping or running into town to get coffee and do some shopping? However, the fact that the windchill is -25 has me thinking staying home under blankets is a good idea!

It's -17 wind chill here! I never got to sleep. Haven't done this since college but it's no fun now. Maybe will make tea but don't want to go to kitchen. Brr!

Yuck. It was almost 80 here in Texas yesterday and will get into the 70's today. I had to turn the air conditioner on yesterday. As horribly cold and awful as it's been elsewhere, this has been an unseasonably warm winter here, even for Texas. We've had some gorgeous days lately, but the bugs in the Spring are going to be awful and the wildflowers won't be as lovely as they usually are; they need a good cold winter to produce to their fullest.
Thanks for this!

I never slept at all, either. The wind finally calmed down alot and I think it's about 10 degrees out. Ugh. Oh, with the wind, it feels like 1 degree...awesome.

so...shall I sit in the great room and stare at the white out thru the front sliders, or in the kitchen and stare at the white out thru the kitchen windows....
or, wait, I can go up stairs and stare at the white out thru the deck windows.
decisions decisions.
Mother's in the great room, so that one's out.

Sorry many of you had a rough night. I tried to go to a meeting last night which I suppose was cancelled due to VD The Couch Get's 86'd (it's now under the end zone at Giant's stadium)

So I made a poor decision and went home and smoked. It was the best night of sleep I've had since the last time I smoked which was the 6th. I guess I can be pleased that I have significantly cut back, but I really want to be able to go a month or more.

It's so cold and windy here. We hardly ever get wind chills of -11 F. These are the days you wish you didn't have a dog.

We are in the clutches of a bitter cold with wind - but at least no snow. The pets are quite cranky about it and keep wanting me to let them out so they can walk to the edge of the porch and come right back to door and whine to get back in.

I was out of high school.

I liked 16 Candles better. I remember going home one time and watching it with my parents and all of us giggling like idiots at it.
