When my kids were young, and they went to play at someone's house, I only had to ask the basic questions: Are there guns/weapons in your home? Will the children be supervised at all times? etc. These days I'd have to ask if their children were vaccinated too. So glad I don't have to raise young kids with all the info on the internet. I would have driven myself crazy.

Yeah... and the vaccination questions can be met with a negative response... My kids are still too young to be alone at a friend's house without me there. However, I am super careful where I bring them. Right now I am even afraid to bring them to the library. My toddler has all vaccines. My baby is not even 4 months old so she has only had one set of vaccines. Still 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months to go before she has them all.

My toddler has been in her bed for two hours now... refusing to nap. First time in a long time she won't nap. I guess getting her hair cut today was just too much excitement for her.

Well.... The piano is hanging. Now we are just waiting to see if it will hit us or not. It will fall by the end of next week.

Take the job. You can still disagree silently

Oh, I did. I'm awfully good at keeping my opinions to myself and pretending to agree. I hate having to do it though - shades of my horrid marriage...
Oh, well, it's only until I can get a 'real' job.

Gah! There's this Heart and stroke foundation commercial that plays "I'm coming home" over a short montage of clips. It keeps making me cry. Like every time I see it. I don't get it.

Does the boss's opinions have anything to do with the job? I work with any number of people I disagree with on any number of topics. I completely disagree with religion, how everyone raises their kids, helmet laws and seatbelt laws with just about everyone. But it does not have any bearing on my ability to do my job and work with them.

You should point out that there is a question about it in the exam.

Any idea how to tell how old it is?

Hm., online sources say they were used in the 1800's...to the mid 1800's.

I wish I knew which of my ancestors owned it. Interesting.
The date sounds right.

They do unfortunately...
I'm fine with disagreeing with people, but supporting/working with something I fundamentally disagree with... Don't like it.
I can still do the job, I would just choose not to if I had the choice.

Ah. I would find it hard to be a prosecuting attorney.

I am feeling pretty raw anyway, I guess. The 'let's pretend that didn't happen' thing is incredibly upsetting for me as well even when I am not involved.

Anyway. If I drop off the face of PC for a while, please don't anyone think it is anything personal. I am quite pissy about things unrelated to anyone here.
I totally completely agree with you on this.

To me, it is the difference between being ill and intentionally hurting others. No one has the right to hurt a community or person intentionally.

ANOTHER Weird post by my T tonight.. He posted from the soundcloud a relaxation exercise that he voices. Its a good one, I have it on CD already.. but when you click on the link the background of the player of my T dressed up as I think a pirate? Complete with this GRRRR face. I am thinking that probably it is his profile picture from that account and it just automatically uses it as a background picture.. I hope, because I am a little thrown off by the pic of my T right now during a guided relaxation. I am wondering if I should point it out to him? Make a comment on the post or something? Surly this has to be a mistake?

That does sound odd. Not sure what social conventions dictate in this case.

Did everybody go to bed already? I have the day off tomorrow so I didn't force myself to bed early, and now I bored with nobody to talk to!
