It just never looks the same way after the hairstylist styles it eh? I always find it looks great at the salon and then when I try to do it myself, it is no where near the same.

We're in the negatives here... supposed to warm up to 9 above by the end of the week. I hope that happens.

My T posted something interesting on his practice's fb page today.. It is a picture of his wife and two kids with the leader singer of band who won their first grammy award over the weekend. It just says, my family with grammy award winner so and so. Tell me that is odd? I am pretty sure the only people who would know it is my t's family is his clients, and maybe friends and families who have "liked" the page. I wonder why he posted it..

I do not see a similarity between confronting someone about their delusions, particularly when done nicely in an attempt to either help the person or keep others from harm from the person's delusions, and telling someone their depression isn't real. I do not know if I am just being overly sensitive because I suffer from depression and not delusions. Is there some similarity I am missing?

I am feeling pretty raw anyway, I guess. The 'let's pretend that didn't happen' thing is incredibly upsetting for me as well even when I am not involved.

Anyway. If I drop off the face of PC for a while, please don't anyone think it is anything personal. I am quite pissy about things unrelated to anyone here.

It's cool to meet celebrities? Not sure. I don't know what the socially acceptable thing to do with such a picture would be.

Pooh-Bah. I see nothing to laugh at. It is very painful to me to have to say "How de do, little girls, how de do?" to young persons. I'm not in the habit of saying "How de do, little girls, how de do?" to anybody under the rank of a Stockbroker."
I know The Mikado, not verbatim though. I certainly haven't seen all G&S, but I did enjoy both Pirates and Gondoliers. You have to love someone who can use the phrase "protoplasmal primordial atomic globule". Seriously.

Kiss my ring.

Just went to the organic market and got some black elderberry syrup and Umcka. Feeling a crappy sore throat coming on, and D has pneumonia.

We have yet another big storm coming in Thurs night. My mom has already let me know she's staying with me. lol. Speaking of moms...I took her grocery shopping this morning. She gets food stamps (she qualifies legally for them, but she really doesn't need them) She hasn't been using it all so I told her she was going to buy groceries for my niece (single mom). I filled her cart with juice boxes, granola bars, lunch stuff and some frozen prepared stuff (my niece works a lot and can't cook very well... She SHOULD receive food stamps but doesn't qualify). My mother was having a hissy the whole time. She is such a selfish, stingy you-know-what. Grrrr. BUT, I won, and now the person who really needs the free food is getting it.

Sigh... I am poking the anti-vax bee nest on social media. I just can't avoid that topic. I probably should... Though I did state my piece. Maybe I will just not look again. Seems safest.

One possibility is that he intended to post it to his personal fb feed, but posted it to his practice's page by mistake. I manage a fb page for work, and although I've never posted anything to it without meaning to, I can see how it could be possible to do so if you're not keeping track of which browser tab you're in.

Yeah. Exactly. I've been getting into it on the twitter several times over the last few weeks. Drives me nuts. Ah well.

I don't have facebook or twitter...no social media at all. I just have the drama here and on "The Bachelor."

Catonyx, I had several of "those" conversations when I was a nursing mom, regarding eating/sleeping/clothing/diapering/carseats/vax/medication in general. It's frustrating!

I'm all for live and let live, it's just not that important to me to be "right" all the time. I do stand up for things I believe in, but for me to do so it really has to be a "hill to die on" and worth the time/energy investment. Most social media/internet arguments are not worth the time/energy investment for me.

Nope, but it is possible it has gotten eaten.. If it takes you awhile to write a post, sometimes it disappears after you hit the submit button.

Yeah. I realize what I say won't change anyone's beliefs. I just feel the need to say something anyways as a mother of a child with a medical condition.
