Sometimes I find myself so tired and need to go to bed, but I just sit there in the dark thinking about therapy. Not even motivated to get into bed! I have a feeling I'll do it again tonight since my session is tomorrow. Anxious about a topic we've been discussing.
Thanks for this!

Oh yeah. Just thinking about what's going to be discussed, everything that either of us could possibly say, how I might react, etc.

Some threads here resonate with me so much that I want to just put them in my pocket and keep them close to me.

I mean, I know I could technically print them out and literally do just that, but that's just a little too bananas, lol.

Spent the last 6 hours in the ER with my future daughter-in-law. She had a large ovarian cyst that ruptured. She'll be fine and is feeling much better on morphine. Off to bed now. I'm pooped.

I still do that and I've lived here like 6 years now. It never gets old!! (I grew up in Missouri, where I had my fill of cold/snowy winters!)

This is the first week where I'm tempted to send a second email, but only because my first one made no sense and I've since sorted out my thoughts and feelings. I doubt I'll send one though. I'll just apologize for my messed up email and explain myself better in session.

Glad to hear you gave it a shot.
Did any of it involve a blowtorch?

LG - I am glad she is going to be ok.

Yay me. I caught the neighborhood stomach bug. Blech.

Speaking of blowtorches, kinda. When I was younger my dad was teaching me to weld and I caught my hair on fire. That was, um, fun.

Not a blowtorch, but an interchangeable phillips head / slotted screwdriver. I closed my closet doors in spite of everything not being perfect behind them, and changed the knobs from ugly chrome to nice rubbed bronze-black ones i had bought a few years ago. Maybe several years ago. Took like 5 minutes. I had to use scissors but i knew exactly where everything was.

Nuther question - for sd or anybody. I started using coconut oil, like an espresso spoonful stirred into in my oatmeal or a hot veg before serving. I dont know if its making me feel fuller or clogging my arteries and or my gall bladder. Anybody else use it as a condiment ie not to cook or fry with, but melty?

I've never used a blowtorch. I can't imagine it would go well. I can't even handle matches lol

I use coconut oil for so many things. My friend stirs it into her coffee. I mainly use it melty on my hair and skin. The dogs nose and foot pads. My leather planner covers.

Hankster - I think it is supposed to have a lot of benefits. I sometimes use it to make popcorn.
I tried it in the bullet coffee stuff - it was not bad - not as bad as it sounds - but it was not something I wanted to drink every day.

OK I know everyone is sick of "that dress".

But I use photoshop every day and I had to play around with the image, because I was annoyed that this could be another stupid internet hoax.

In photoshop, take that infamous image and open the "levels" tool-- this shifts brightness, tonal range etc. Lo and behold--push the sliders to the left and it becomes more white and gold, to the right, royal blue and black.

I was in the "white and gold" camp because I am used to seeing white images in shadow, that appear pale blue. Just in my everyday job w/images

I read somewhere that the image is just horribly overexposed, but the background is so bright, it tricks the brain into seeing the dress as pale and in shadow instead of a dark overexposed dress. Once I tried to see it as overexposed, I could see sort of see blue and black.

This explains it well
Couch 88 - let's make it great!
Oh this was bothering me. And I know I have better things to do!

If you see that dress as white and gold--try this…. turn off the lights in the room you are in AND lower the brightness on your monitor. There it is!
Thanks for this!

One of the scientists in the article I read also sees it the way you do

this was interesting, when they isolated the rgb values of different parts of the dress they come out with swatches of cornflower blue (not Royal) and orange-gold. It's just a badly shot photo.

Love this article best on the subject

When you play with the levels in photoshop, these are the variations you can get with the same image
