I have to go get a truckload of mulch.
I hate yardwork and gardening with a major passion.
I don't mind cutting the grass as much as all the other stuff. I only have things planted that will come back up on their own (bulbs for example) and that can survive my benign neglect.

So ready for this day to be over. I am having an annoying number of days where, 'i didn't kill myself today' tops my list of things I did right during the day.

Does anyone else keep a mental list of things they did right during the day, to try to combat the list of mistakes?

I hate yardwork too. The people who owned our house before did this amazing job with flowers. But I hate weeding. So I've enjoyed the flowers... and the weeds.

It is what it is.

I live in a rural area across from a cornfield so it's not like what it would be if we lived in a neighborhood. I can get away with a lot more rampant foliage

YES! And not killing myself does rank at the top. I email my T each day with a "Why WHYYYYYYY!!!" type email. Your comment makes me feel better.

Today I cleaned our Keurig. I put wet laundry in the dryer. I am alive.

Plusses!

My oldest wasn't a screamer. He just threw himself down and went limp. So easy. My youngest though - he's got lungs. My younger isn't difficult, he's just more vocal about his displeasure. My oldest is loud too... he just doesn't scream

My parents figured out how to not have tantrums or drama but most here would probably not follow their methods.
My dogs are pretty mellow and the cat is fine unless he is put in the car.

Do you think Ts use the word leave delibrately? Mine never says holidays or "going away" Mine always says leave with date that he'll be back.
Possible trigger:
I know someone is trggereed by this but can't remember who.

It's alright Hankser, thanks.
I picked up an Easter basket for her in Target on the way home (can't beat the 50% off). Hopefully that'll soothe the hurt feelings...

It was kind of a rough weekend anyway - 7 year old had been home since Wednesday sick and 10 year old was sick over the weekend too...
Last year I organized a trip to a dairy farm with an egghunt way ahead of time. Pissed off the stbx something awful. He always wanted me to do things until I actually went and did them.
I guess I was just feeling forlorn and childish myself and just didn't want to deal with it.

I oughta do this. I'm barely holding it together lately. I'm wondering if there's ever a point in life when one can say that they truly have it together. Doesn't feel like I'm ever going to get there, that's for sure, lol. Unless that happens, I might take this approach. So there you have it, yet another Monday in which I didn't kill myself. Huzzah!

Also, Ice Cream Truck season has officially begun in my city. I'll be hearing this pretty much non-stop, from varying distances, until mid-October:

NON

STOP

We call it the Emergency Ice Cream Truck, as my nephew noticed the truck calling at my mom's was a repainted EMT vehicle. But we all agreed ice cream is always an emergency!

I used to work with a guy who drove an old school ice-cream truck. He didn't sell ice-cream, just drove the truck...

When I was little, one company had round vehicles for ice cream trucks - sort of like bottle caps on wheels. I wanted to drive one of those when I grew up. The top was like a beach umbrella.

I loathe ice cream truck music...I think it's super creepy and also super annoying. I hear it once in a while around where I live.

Ha, there's a guy here who took an old ambulance and turned it into a mobile hot dog business. Called it "Lou-Lou's Hot Dogs to the Rescue."
Thanks for this!

Lol just to roll around your hood, blasting opera super loud. Maybe hang some charcuterie from the top, just to show off a little.
