There is something very satisfying about a new mowed lawn. It looks neat and crisp and smells really good. And it is completely immediate. At the first shove of the mower.

God, I never learn. I really ought to know better than to tell H anything that's interesting or sad or funny or anything at all other than neutral and uninteresting. Though he would destroy me using neutral and uninteresting, too. I am such an idiot to give him those leads.

Stupid grass. Ah for july when the grass will just be burned dry patches. Or a swamp. It is always a coin toss whether we will be drenched or droughted.
I pay a yard guy so I discourage grass growth. Some days I can be seen stomping on the grass here and there trying to kill it..
I do love the smell of freshly mown grass, though.

Summer can be neat- appreciating all the various shades of green that grass, bushes and leaves can make against the backdrop of a bright blue sky.

i didn't watch the video because my computer's being stupid but the question "what if animals were round" makes me think about a cartoon my son used to love when he was little, "rolly polly ollie" or something like that lol

Maybe not do anything and just see if it passes?

I do not envy them for having to mow it, of course.
I used to live near Victorville, California in the High Desert. Some folks would just dump gravel in their yards and spray it green.

When I first moved to the desert I would dream I lived on the moon...and the moon had sagebrush. I became very homesick for the Midwest and fields of corn.

Crap.... I'm sorry, Mast. I've been in that kind of situation. It was so draining for me.

It was a long day (9 hours start to finish), but it went really well. We ended up with about 40 in the choir from Lutheran churches around the area, mostly from my church. Around 500 turned up at the dedication of the new center at the youth and missions camp. It was a bit toasty sitting outside all afternoon, but at least we were under a huge tent so weren't completely baking in the sun. The service was great and music went well. Just very tired.

Today I have bell choir and then I drive down to Dallas to the symphony center for audition.

I think I'm going to need my work week to recover from my weekend.

Hey people, I'm sorry for melting down on the couch last night. It was uncalled for and it misrepresented reality. Thank you for your support, though.

You might need to run a different program - adware sometimes doesn't show up some virus scans. It is a pain when it happens.

Thanks Granite. We were in a similar choir program in the fall with a much larger choir and more churches involved. It takes a lot of preparation ahead of time, but the results are always rewarding. It is a great experience to get to work with others from other churchs and even other denominations. It creates a great sense of community and service.

Today I am making homemade cough/throat drops. One batch with honey as the base and one batch with maple syrup as the base.
