im glad you went to your pdoc!! good job. I think that is a good indication that you want to take care of yourself. Taking your meds is a good way to take care of yourself too!

((((skittles)))) Good on you for going... now follow through with taking the meds. Meds don't have to be permanent, but sometimes the longer you put off correcting the brain chemicals, the longer it takes the meds to balance them.. seen pdoc after not going for a while

No one likes to have to take meds...but it isn't any different than correcting or adjusting or making up for imbalances that cause other disorders considered purely physical... because by their very nature, meds show that there is a big connection between mind/body!

Take one and then post for us here at PC?

Congratulations on going to the pdoc...that was a difficult step, I bet. I also had misgivings about taking meds but decided that it was part of self-care. Good luck.

Skittles - Congrats on going back to the pdoc. I think it happens to a lot of people. I went to my first pdoc apt 3 months ago and I still haven't taken the medicine she gave me. I like knowing they are sitting in my drawer, but I just don't want to take them. Just take it one day at a time and maybe you can tell your self you're going to try out the meds for awhile and see how it goes.
