I have one of those calendars on my computer that I use for daily apointments, etc. When you enter a new event you can choose from a variety of options, one of which is whether or not it is a repeating event. I was just entering some dates for the summer and noticed my T appointment was filled in all the way through the end of August. Now, I think my T goes away in August so I clicked on the appointment to see what I had entered as an end date for the recurring event. Apparently I selected "never" as the end date.

How about that for where I am right now? LOL

LOL. You are so not alone. There should have an option on mine that says to infinity.

Hey Pink,

Yes, it was an accident, can you believe it? Pink, since you are the psych student can you please explain what a Freudian slip is? We all use the term but I don't really now what it means.

Hope you are having a good day, (whatever the heck that means...)

It is when something is lurking in your unconscious, and brings itself out, but without you actively pulling it out. So at the time you were using your planner, to never end therapy was in your unconscious.... kind of like your unconscious selected that option, rather than your conscious mind. It shows that you are really concerned about it, even though you may not have been consciously thinking about it at that moment.

It means that nothing happens by accident. Everything is connected to everything.

And thanks-- hope you are having a good day, too.

I had a Freudian slip in therapy a couple of weeks ago. I accidentally referred to my marriage in the past tense, but heck, I am still married! I said something such as "like my marriage did" instead of "like my marriage does." I corrected myself after I said it and T said "Freudian slip," and we both laughed. Just shows where my unconscious is--it is always ahead of my conscious mind. Sometimes I wish my unconscious mind were my conscious mind, because it seems so much less in denial.
