Back to the real world tomorrow. Ugh. Now the long haul until spring break.

Amadeus in on Netflix now, so we watched it last night. I don't think I had watched in probably for close to 30 years. Awesome movie.

Have a good day couchies, gotta finish getting ready for work and get out the door.
Art, is it First People drumming..or some other sort? I think I would love something like that...

Apologies to the teachers on the couch, but I'm really REALLY glad winter break ends tomorrow.

I am always better when school starts again. Long breaks often add to depression for me.

Routines are good - for kids and grownups.

I am completely baffled at why people videotape their kids and put it on the internet in open places. And often it is humiliating stuff. I don't even like children but I really dislike seeing them used in this fashion.

Why is it no longer possible to go into a department store and buy a regular pair of sweatpants? I can choose yoga pahts, dorm pants, jogger pants, but not sweatpants.

Don't go to the department store - go to the cheap store.

Expensive east coast markets. SD was right, though - men's dept. Although their smallest size was a little too big for me.

Also target probably has them (I know the boston area has targets as I have family there) - I don't know if you are near a target or not - just that they exist in the greater boston area. The target ones will be cheap and not super high quality (hanes brand I think) but I own several pair and am wearing a pair of navy ones right now.

We bought a used dog sled but we have retrievers. They would only pull the sled if one of us was skiing out in front which kind of defeated the purpose of the sled although we did give the neighbor kids rides which kept the lab in shape. I want to skijor with my horse but they chased him with an ATV for "fun" when he was a baby and 7 years later I am still trying to get him comfortable with something dragging behind him

I had a husky mix before I got my herding breed and she would have loved doing it - and although she had a quite high prey instinct, she didn't bother with what humans were doing so she was great to rollerblade with. She would have been a great skijoring dog.

Shamanic drumming, not necessarily limited to Native American but yes of that sort. Here's my drum:

Couch 105-The couch with no issues.

I love it... my favorite drumming activity is when we hike into a nearby National Park at dusk and sit by a little stream and drum together as a group while it gets dark and the moon rises... and then we hike out by the moonlight.... that is the best time!!

For the least stylish person I know, I sure have a lot of clothes. Since winter finally got here yesterday, I'm searching for work attire that's not transparent or otherwise meant for hot weather. But, I can't wear sweaters or most long-sleeved tops because I'll roast. Most of my tops and pants are suitable for year round with the addition or subtraction of layers. Some of this crap that's in storage just isn't going to cut it. I'm thinking gifts or hand-me's, because I never would have been interested in this stuff in a store. Ah, well, better to have too many than not enough (my hoarder instincts are showing!) and I'll be finishing up soon.

Happy Sunday Couchies!

I have been mentally inventorying my work clothes situation as well. I start a new job tomorrow and find my wardrobe cuts in half when winter gets here.. I guess I prefer capris and think blouses over long pants and long sleeves!

Me too! Even before middle age and peri menopause I was always hot natured. I don't even own a coat, because I'm not outside long enough to need one. Light hoodies and sweaters work fine and don't require their own seat in the car.

Good luck on your new job! I hope you will really enjoy it.

Thats the look the mice used to give me when they were planning things, like who was going over the wall of the cage first.

Yeah, she does kinda appear to be planning something nefarious, doesn't she?

ETA: either that, or she's already done it, and the look says "What?!"
