Not Alan Rickman too! There's a pic on Google where he looks a lot like Bill Nighy, I had to look twice.I always like him in almost all roles I saw him in, even if his supporting cast and stars stunk (i'm lookingg at you Kevin Costner), he was brilliant.

Look what I did:

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452813350.790397.jpg

That's a little too shabby chic for me, so I'm going to paint it. I don't want it to match the other mirror so I haven't decided what color yet. The two are next to each other so you can definitely see the "antique" look of the big one. They'll be on different walls, though. Please ignore my socks and sweat pants, and the partially ripped up vinyl flooring.

Is the big one done with the mirror paint? Thats not too bad if it is. I never have the patience for these kind of projects. Kudos to you.

The stupid real estate are trying to rent the empty downstairs flat. They still haven't got a gardener around and you need a machete to get to the front door of the flat. Hopefully when they do their inspection next week they will see what it like.

Alan Rickman dying made me sad. He was an extremely talented actor and that voice... I loved listening to him talk. Him as Snape was amazing. He was so perfect.

I especially liked Rickman in "Galaxy Quest." Not quite a villain, but nicely satirical.

Eta: I read an interview with some big actor once who said it was harder to play evil than to play good. Kind of like Tolstoy on families, if you know what I mean. Anyway I think Rickman is a good illustration of that.

Etaa: and if none of that makes sense, it's probably the whisk(e)y.

Whew what a day today!! I cannot believe that it is already Thursday again, these weeks are disappearing like nothing here lately. I am having ONE glass of wine this evening, so there will be no drunken typing on the couch like last week.

I never made it past the first 15-20 minutes of galaxy quest. I am not a big movie watcher.

Y'know I was just thinking about something. Thinking about that first year of therapy with current t. There were things I remember telling her like "oh I understand..." whatever, about myself. How embarassingly naive I was. Oh, well. I suppose it is no surprise to her that I am now realizing that it is so very, very true that the more you learn, the more you realize, how little you actually know. Or something like that....

Time for me to go to sleep. Night coucharoonios!! (or, morning...)

Is it wrong to say that I usually get Kevin Costner, Nicholas Cage and Tom Cruise confused? I think their acting atyle is very similar. I mean honestly when Martians are rampaging killing everybody people are running around screaming etc and Cruise just looks as if he's misplaced his glasses. It was terribly Magoo-like.

And Celine Dion's husband - these things come in 3s.

I like Kevin Costner but mostly I think of Bull Durham.

Our family is having a little debate. I think it is totally normal and fine to walk around with cat treats in one's pants pockets and horse or dog treats in coat pockets "just in case." D agrees it is totally fine in clothes for home but a touch odd in coats worn to the store, work, etc. D and H think it's just weird. Opinions?

I walk around with dog treats in my pockets - not always deliberately - usually I just forget I have them in there

And I would add that on at least three occasions I have stopped to catch loose horses on my way to work or the store or whatever. I usually carry an extra lead rope in my vehicle as well.

I have extra leashes in my car for that reason.
I don't run into loose horses all that often.

There is no leash law out here. I do have a couple of leashes in the truck and car though. That way I do not have to worry about finding one when I decide at the last minute that the dogs can go with me somewhere. I have used them as makeshift halters also. And yeah, my car is pretty much a mess.

Roughly 1/3 of the neighbors have horse or cattle or both. A couple people have pigs. Never tried to catch a pig. The one neighbor's pig is a pet so I have just played with him and got him to follow me back to his pen.
