CE- I think a passing of a parent can be difficult in various ways. Good luck to dealing with the irritating things ahead.

Ouch, that's rough. My father often didn't understand me, but he always stood up for me.

Watching "The Hours" again on some random cable channel. I think that movie has some of the best characterizations of people suffering with depression that I've seen. Though it's a bit different watching now that I'm a mother and seeing the fear in Julianne Moore's son's eyes...

I've never seen that one, LT. My friend has put her mom in a nursing home for Alzheimer's patients, and I keep remembering a movie I saw years ago (Away From Her) about a woman in her 50's with early onset Alzheimer's. So scary! I also never saw A Beautiful Mind, because my mother had schizophrenia and that would have hit too close to home.

I painted my mirror frame tonight, flat black. I've got to stencil it (sterling silver) but it looks so much like a chalkboard I can't stand it. I'm thinking glossy Mod Podge (I already have for other crafts so no running to the store) and I'm thinking I have to buy glossy craft paint from now on. Live and learn.

Sitting in the cold waiting for bonus teen, she worked 9-5 but had to stay until 10 since someone called out. I hate cold!

Great movie, great acting.

Eta - to my great surprise, i have become a fan of watsername, tom cruise's second wife, the australian ah nicole kidman. I loved her and joaquin phoenix in the based on a true story about the students killing the teachers husband. Really a perfect movie.
