This whole discussion makes me think of the statue of Artemis of Ephesus. When my college art teacher showed the slide, the guys could not stop sniggering. (Talk about quantitty.)

Also, Breadfish is a great name for a prophet.
Thanks for this!

Ha! Thankfully my screen name is artemis-within and not artemis-without, or y'all might think I resemble that statue! ha! (Of course, my h probably wishes I did!)

And yes. I agree that Breadfish should be the First Prophet of the Church of the Holy Rightity of Unaluna!

And I of course heartily support the interrobang (?!) being the preferred punctuation of said church.
Thanks for this!

Would we get into too much trouble if we called the next couch the Couch of the Rightity? Or would that one slide by... (?!)

Is the concern that it might convey a standard of correctness that is not possible to measure or agree upon?

You can use apostrophes or not. We can put it in the opening rules right next to the cool whip.

I think breadfish coined a most excellent term. The Rightity of Unaluna conveys a standard of correctness that is your personal best, transient yet substantial, laudable and ecological.

It's always nice when people compliment you on your cooking. Of course, it's always a guess whether they like the food or whether they like that they didn't have to cook it themselves..

just i guess, because it's a reminder of as different as people are, how much we are still the same, or something.... like no matter how often i feel like "i'm the only one who feels like x" i can come here and speak out and learn that i'm not alone. something along those lines. for a poet who loves words, i don't do a very good job of explaining myself sometimes.

I'm doing the "poem a day" challenge again this year of course. The one that's coming out right now, seems to be to t. (for the emoji-challenged, that is an embarrassed smile.) ETA: So much for being on a break from therapy. Even when I'm on a break, I'm still doing therapy. Damn process.

I've often wished for a "vomit" emoticon like on Skype. Instead, we get .

PS Pepto-bismol will never be an emoticon. You can take that to the bank.

PPS And now someone will say it IS an emoticon on Facebook or something.

In classical times, left-handers were exempted from military service because they disrupted the formations. (One shield out of place weakened the whole line.) They were drafted into the civil service instead, which is why many ancient languages are written right to left, as Arabic is to this very day.

And before SD beats me to it, I will just say that the Latin adjective for "left-handed" is...sinister!

I have been playing with my new spiralizer all day. I learned like zucchini blanched better than quickly sauteed in terms of pasta sub.
But really it will just be fun to play with for adding to salads and such

Ex-Hankster - you totally need one of these for vegetables.

Hi. I've had some quiet days.

Something happened Tuesday that I'm still trying to sort out. I saw things in my quiet time that I'm not able to understand. It will come.

The spiralizer is making my heart smile!!

Just wanted to say hello.
