Is it possible that you were talking about a person with little or no emotion, and your T meant "Well you might as well be talking about a dog with the amount of emotion you're showing"?

No - that is not it at all.
And I am not looking for an interpretation - I just thought it was interesting she thought she had identified a tone I use when talking about my pets.

I hope it'll soon be a lot of "going" and a lack of "coming".
Thanks for this!

Pet Peeves: Absolutes and double standards. I guess I'm a relativist.

It's Friday!! Woohoo!! and I'm looking forward to my weekend. This week has been tiring -- I guess because I was coming off of Spring Break and a time change. Still trying to figure out my sleepiness, but I am beginning to believe it is hormonal. I'm going to try changing what I eat for lunch; might be too L-tryptophan heavy which could also be a problem. Spent $1200 getting our van fixed yesterday - ugh - but at least we had the funds to take care of it: leaking radiator and bad thermostat. Can't wait until this summer when we will finally be able to get a 2nd vehicle. We've survived on one vehicle for several years now (a testament to our family's spirit of cooperation and coordination), but it has not been easy or fun.

Tomorrow night we have tickets to see a concert here at my school by a major men's barbershop chorus from Dallas. Our high school choir director is one of the members of that chorus and they donate 100% of the proceeds to our high school choir as its only fund raiser. Awesome fundraiser for a very good cause.

Speaking of fund-raisers, in a few minutes I'm going to go out and test drive a car. A local dealership donates $20/each test drive to our school up to $6000. Those proceeds are used for scholarships for our students.

A men's barbershop chorus? Is that a choir of men that frequent the same barbershop? Or what?

I hope you have fun.
Thanks for this!

Barbershop music is a nice little piece of Americana.

I believe even Congress has a barbershop quartet.

Just to bring Breadfish up to speed, stopdog was probably practically cooing, and the poor t couldnt believe she was actually talking about a human so sweetly. To paraphrase Sally Field, "Stopdog likes me, she really likes me!" Stopdog was probably telling her about my big underpants (eta -cuz its all about me right?) my t likes dogs better than people, no question.

Now I feel really stupid about the barbershop thingy. _O- So it's a lot like Pentatonix (which my sister is a huge fan of) only it feels more classical.

It's a very Americana thing I think. This particular chorus is one of the best. Can't wait to see them. It is a very different approach to music and musical performance than what I do which is very, very classical. So much fun. My sister used to be in Sweet Adeline's which is a female barbershop choir.

It is quite easy to tell when someone is talking about something they love.

Waiting on NPs office to call back...they left a message that she wants me to get a second opinion. So, I wanna know why. Worst case scenario act like Im staying on them until Im off and then stop seeing her. We'll see depends on what she says.

Tried to get the doctor's office to phone in a different prescription for me for migraines. What they prescribed me already is not working. Assistant says I have to come in again to discuss my options. I cannot drive AND oh by the way, neither doctor is in the office. What the **** ever. This kind of **** is why our emergency rooms are so busy.
