Ex-Hankster - you totally need one of these for vegetables.
I am not up to dealing with fresh veg yet. Hopefully by this summer. So right now just microwave in bag or salad in a bag for me.

Yes! And then you can actually walk after eating it! Spaghetti squash practically makes itself and is yummy.

Does spaghetti squash count as a vegetable? If so, that's one more that I like!

Well, good I could look ridiculous at grandmas facility. She went unresponsive and I started crying after a few minutes. Ugh! It sucks to love people!

As I'm going through my list of what I'm grateful for today, my couchies come to mind.... I am grateful that you put up with my whining the other day about my tooth and helped me through the panic over having to get a root canal. I'm feeling so much better about it now and ready to go get 'er done. (ETA bonus! I don't think I'll even need to bother t while on my break!)

And it's opening day of baseball woo!! My h is in a fantasy league with his group of from-childhood friends, they did their draft yesterday, and he got my current favorite SF Giants player Jeff Samardzija on his team! Yay!

Happy Sunday, couchies!

How do you know when a spaghetti squash is ripe? Are they supposed to be hard..or are they supposed to pop open when you cut them... like a ripe melon?

So I'm still working on yesterday's poem (for the poem-a-day challenge I'm doing) so I was all "****! What will I write for today's?" And h goes "A limerick!" Sometimes the man is a genius. Without futher ado, I shall share today's "poem-for-the-day" because he found it funny:

My husband sat down in a chair
that he didn't realize wasn't there.
So he said with a shout
“who took my chair out?”
As he fell to the ground through the air.
Thanks for this!

You should do a different poetic genre each day - tomorrow, haiku! Tuesday, a sonnet!

Do you feel unworthy of their concern? They seem to think you are worthy.

I feel like I should be able to do it myself...I feel like they might think, "She could this herself." Or, "Why can't she do this herself?"

If they ask, I tell them what happened. Today she asked.
Dunno.

I guess I'm used to doing for others. I'm uncomfortable receiving.

Hey, couch.. I've got a question. Has anybody ever seen a doctor about back issues? I am seeing a doctor at my local orthopedic group on Tuesday and I am starting to get a little nervous about how much touching of my back the doctor will have to do, whether or not they will want me to be a gown on. Probably dependent on the doctor and the kind of pain.. Just wondering if anybody has been through it?

My physicians have not ever had me get into a gown just for back issues. There was a lot of touching, testing reflexes, testing sensitivity, looking at gait, but no disrobing. Of course, all MDs are different. For me the only definitive diagnosis came after an MRI scam, though.
