I am feeling quite happy tonight, at the prospect of a 3 day weekend, can't stop smiling. Have no plans for my 54th on Monday, may go swimming if it's not monsooning, and we'll probably go out to dinner to celebrate somewhere, not sure yet. All's I really care about doing, is not being at work!!
Hugs from:

The state of Michigan. (It has a thumb. And people there actually use their hand as a map of the lower peninsula to give directions.)

Hey, unaluna, take CE to Frankenmuth. That store will totally restore his faith in America.

At the chicken place in Frankenmuth they will give you the most adotable little plastic animals with your ice cream...I mean , if you are over 10 you have to come out and say "PLEASE can I have the adorable little animals on mine???" But if you ask they will give them to you no matter what age you are : )

Hi from Germany. We just had our first concert, in a tiny little church with lovely acoustics. We made (some of) the audience cry, and not with pain, I think. Tomorrow morning we'll be singing in the massive humongous cathedral in Cologne, where we will not be able to rehearsa at all beforehand. Eek. They broadcast their Sunday mass on radio, too. Eeeek. At least the acoustics should be very close to what we are used to.
Thanks for this!

The cathedral is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and has the second-tallest spires. Its two huge spires give it the largest façade of any church in the world. The choir has the largest height to width ratio, 3.6:1, of any medieval church.

It is the most visited landmark in Germany.
