Anyone heard from Crocus? I notice she hasn't posted for over a week and her last post was a little concerning...
Thanks for this!

Interviewed a potential No. 4 this afternoon. She eliminated herself by telling me she "emotionally cuddles" all her clients.

I can't even figure out what that means.
What does she do to emotionally cuddle someone? Ack.

I did not ask for details. By that point I wanted to get off the phone with her as quickly as possible.

The antidote would be an emotional two finger eye poke a la three stooges. Bonk!

I just finished book 15 in a series, the next will be out in 2017, so now I'm all mopey and at loose ends. Blah. Think I'll go polish my toenails.

I also find it unsettling when I finish a series and have to wait. It happens fairly frequently because if I find a series I like, I just sit and read through them all.
Then I feel a bit lonely for the world it created.

I was wondering what book series has 15 total. Not even game of thrones. I swear that guy is going to kick the bucket before he finishes.

Random food stuff. Was looking up how to make macarons and baked donuts online. Made myself hungry and wrapped dates in bacon. Needed blue cheese or almonds and goat cheese but still delicious!

Janet Evanovitch has more than 15 in the Stephanie Plum series.
Elizabeth Peters (Barbara Mertz) had the Amelia Peabody series that had about 20 books
Lindsey Davis had about 20 in her Marcus Didius Falco series
David Wishart has 18 or so in his Marcus Corvinus series
Those are just off the top of my head - there are lot more - I read (obviously) cozy and (mostly) historical mysteries - they often have a lot in the series.

Gah - I get so pissed off at what those people get away with, and the twisted apology and justification that clients do, that I should probably cancel my appointments for this coming week.

I cannot abide the "poor therapist" mentality.

i was just looking at my bank web site to see if t cashed my last check (sometimes it takes her awhile) and it shows a picture of the front/back of check, her signature looks a mess, nothing like it usually looks when i see it on there. i wonder if she was drunk. or maybe she tried to sign it in a moving car. weird. probably should not think about this too much or i will start thinking there is something wrong with her.

Maybe she was signing it on something that was not solid.

I have no idea what the signature of the ones I see looks like. The first one mocked my handwriting.

I've read all of those except David Wishart, whom I never heard of till I read this. And I thought I knew every mystery series set in the ancient world.

Steven Saylor must have 15 or more in the Gordianus the Finder series.

Modern mysteries with more than 15 are too numerous to list, but I recommend Elizabeth George and Sara Paretsky.

I read the Steven Saylor books and I like John Maddox Roberts also.

I tried Rosemary Rowe, but could not really get into her.

I just recently re-read the Mary Renault books.
