Perplexing things about the internet #3657: People who have 3-4 cameras in their house and film their dog whilst they are at work. THEN take the 9-10 hours of footage from each camera and edit it to a 1.5 hr youtube video. and caption it.

Mainly meat, fruit, vegetables. Yes, roots and berries too.

No wheat, legumes, dairy, grains, or sugars (but honey and real maple syrup are used). The dairy elimination is something I still have to get past. I am having a hard time parting with Greek yogurt, cheese.

I spent half the weekend in the kitchen, it seems. At least I was motivated to do something, although I still have a pile of things that continue to overwhelm me.
I just googled "paleo legumes" and learned that hummus is going to kill me.

The baby back ribs I have had have been pork baby back ribs.

I like peanuts, yogurt and beans too much to go paleo.

I have never understood the prejudice against peanuts. They are one of my top 5 foods.

I like bad food too much to go paleo. Plus I think I'd get the proportions wrong 90% meat. 10% veggies.

This weekend was a bust. I only did some laundry, cooked one decent meal and saw Kashi on Saturday for our second appointment. I haven't really been doing regular therapy since early June so going back feels exausting to me. Maybe it is going over my history again.

I didn't even know peanuts were blacklisted. I will miss peanut butter and beans...will be making a beanless chili soon. Coconut yogurt is allowed.

These are the sites I've been using:

Oatmeal with a Fork ? From omni dinners to vegan desserts, there's something here for every taste! (not specific to just Paleo)

I love food too. But I'm doing it for health, trying to figure out why I have constant auto-immune and connective tissue disease symptoms but test negative for everything. My PCP said it looks like I have a mixed connective tissue disease, but rheumatology here only goes by positive labs, which I don't have.

If only doctors did their job...I hate Western medicine.

I have a friend whose autoimmune and rheumatologucal symptoms (no dx) were helped by giving up gluten.

One of the things that surprised me the most is how much sugar gets added to foods - I read labels a lot more closely now.

I do hope you get some relief. All joking about killer hummus aside, I do know a few people who went full-on paleo and swear by it. Lost weight, gained muscle mass, and say they've never felt better.

Cauliflower rice is good. I find it a pain to make, but it is good.

That looks tasty. I bet it would make a nice side-dish for fish. Maybe trout with lemon or a nice rare tuna steak with ponzu.

We should open a restaurant. We'll call it The Couch and dining will be Roman-style, reclining on a couch on one side while eating.

Been stuck in my head for the last little while. Feeling sluggish but more based in reality (at least I think so) today. Just hit me like an anvil of why I can't delete my facebook. I feel like I'll be gone. Lost. Forgotten. Never existed. No one will 'know' me, or care, or 'see' me anymore. Does that make sense? I wish I could just do it... it's too triggering, annyoing, causes me to disassociate, and a whole lotta other things. Maybe I'll do it with T today. So tired and exhausted, but still here - just fighting with real and non-real.

Many restaurants are called like The Coach and Four, The Coach and Lantern. Ours could be called The Couch and Chair.

You can deactivate your account and reactivate it at any time, as often as you like. At least, I have done that and it worked just fine that way for me. It's been about a year or so. I don't think the settings on that have changed, but you can look it up in the help section under deactivate.
Thanks for this!

I deactivated my account years ago. I've felt no need to go back.

Why is FB so central to your identity?

I wish i knew what is going on with me. I feel so sad, so emotional today. Just want to crawl back in bed. No good reason for it. Halfway through the work day and all i want is to call t. But, no. This probably has something to do w her and taking a break. I will continue to work thru it.
