Got a flu shot yesterday. It gave me a big bruise and I've felt cruddy today. Headache and backache. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

I have a horrible reaction every time I get a flu shot.

I love your new short haircut in your drumming pic yesterday. Feria or somebody has blue, pink, or lavender dye. I bought blue. Youre supposed to put it on blond hair, not gray. I might try a streak where its white, idk, see what happens.

thanks! i love it too, it's so easy to take care of. the henna one i got is specifically for covering gray, so i went for it. i love the blue on the people I've seen it on - but wasn't sure if that would work on gray. the first time i saw blue in someone's hair was like 30 years ago, she had dark brown hair overall and just a blue streak and it was really striking on her.

Having had my hair all different colors, I'm not sure it will change your life. But it definitely changes how people treat you...

You all are so brave!! My chameleon nature is too inhibited to think about blue hair. It is very striking and very individualistic but too much for me to think about doing. I do have a friend who moved to Atlanta and dyed her very dark hair lavender. It was very beautiful, and so much her beautiful nature.

I can't wait to see it Art!

I am surprised, but not freaking out. I guess historians tend to take the long view.

Also, imagine the midterm bloodbath in 2018.

Oh, and it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

Some of us are totally freaking out an having panic attacks (literally) about the election. Some of us cannot believe it either and are really, really struggling. Please don't make us feel worse than we do. I am barely functioning at this point. I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack. Chest pains, unable to breathe, weird sobbing etc.

Anxiety is not generally my issue. Can someone walk me thru how to deal with these panic attacks?? The grounding things I use for ptsd don't seem all that helpful. I have so much more respect for people who deal with this on a daily basis and still manage to function.

Breathing into something like a paper bag or even cupping my hands around my mouth and nose and breathing fast usually helps me.

Is there anything you feel like you need to do physically right now? That won't hurt you? Do it if you can. Favorite yoga pose?
Thanks for this!

Geez. Is this about rolling back gay marriage? Okay, you dont have to bake my wedding cake. Sheesh. I mean, what does make america great again really mean. I guess we will find out. I read somebody had a tshirt, "deplorable lives matter". Real funny not. Boy i was walking around town today with my "i voted" tag, i didnt see any other tags, and people were strangely silent. Now i understand why.

MKAC -- panicking about the panicking is the biggest problem (it's what perpetuates the loop).

So, if there's any way you can just 'let' / 'allow' yourself to feel the panic, it's more likely to subside (more quickly).

(Sorry if that doesn't make sense)

Thanks for this!

That is true!! My experience has told me so. Leaning into it makes no sense, but it is the way out.
