Yeah, it's like steering into a skid stops the skid. Which seems totally illogical. But works!

Absolutely!! Completely illogical but it is the saving grace.

Sleep well everyone. We are friends here. Yes? I find much comfort and connection here. It is very special to me.

That's a heart thing. To me anyway. Other issues can come in a stress the mess out of us, but we are still here whoever is president. In the end it really is not the most important thing.

Yikes!! Hope that doesn't sound like a soap box lecture but it is truly my heart.

Hope that made sense. Good night!!

Deeply disappointed in my fellow Americans tonight. Such hatred and vitriol rewarded.

Apparently I'm just going to stay up and see if what seems to be happening is really going to happen, given the very thin margins in some uncalled states.

I slept for about three hours and fought for my breath a good deal of the time I was awake. I am somterrified I can't think straight.

I am not trying to claim that my situation compares to yours. But I really, really get it. And I probably won't see my T tomorrow so there is nobody to share this with.

AP call of PA will have to be good enough for me. Night all. Try not to worry too much. Somehow humanity got this far, I doubt the next four years will change things markedly.

Bright side: I bet this will bring therapists more business and specializations in Trump syndrome! They'll be richer, and they'll lower their fees! Win-win!

Sorry to my non USA friends on PC. For many reasons. I am putting my faith into the checks and balances of our system. Let's hope that one person can't do too much damage.

I'm encouraged by some of the things atat and growly have said. Because I don't know that much about the American system, it's good to know he will be held accountable by the other elected bodies and that there are mid term elections so the electorate can at least have some say in a couple of years. I have my fingers crossed for you, America.

But there's republicans, then there's Trump. I think they will work to tone down the policies.

The more I think about a trump presidency the sicker I feel. I hope he is surrounded by people smarter and more reasonable than he is.

Sorry couch. I'm going to be fretting for some time to come. Trump wants to reduce itemized deductions including medical ones. My therapy and other medical costs are deducted on my return making things marginally affordable.

I fell asleep watching the results. I woke up to see the headline that he won. And all I could think was "Oh God, oh God..." Not sure I can go back to sleep now...I fear for our future. This is not just an R vs D thing, just to clarify. If, say, Rubio had just been elected president, I would have been disappointed, but I wouldn't have this same sick sense of dread.
