Huh, I thought anapestic tetrameter was something different. So much for my poetic brain remembering things! Then again, half the time I don't bother following any set style when I write my poetry. Probably why I continue to talk myself out of enrolling in the MFA program I keep thinking about going for - cuz I can't remember anything.

eta: and, cuz I like to use words like "cuz".

Therapy often is couched in arcane jargon -- but why? Speak not over but to me, please.

And we discovered that if she sits across from me but to my right, it's not as noticeable. Then shortly thereafter she started sitting over there all the time. Which made me even more self conscious but I never said anything about it. It's on my mind today because I looked at myself in the mirror as I came out of the bathroom stall at work today, and that eye was all wonky. Maybe I'm just tired-er than usual today like you said, it's worse when I'm tired. The stupid thing is I was born with it crossed in, but it wanders the complete opposite direction like they over-corrected it or something. I dunno. Anyway it makes it hard for me to make eye contact with people, because my eyes don't work together, when I make eye contact I have to consciously look out that eye instead of the other one - if I switch back and forth like I usually do just doing whatever, it could go off on it's own. I am babbling here. Shut up now, Art. Enough.
I understand this...I go through the same thing.

Would you punch it for a dime?
Punch it in three quarter time?
Would you punch it in a hat?
Would you punch it in your flat?
No, I would not punch a wall.
I never have, that I recall.

I have therapy in a few hours. Hope I make good use of it.

This weekend will be no fun in general as I had to bring some work home.

My stupid knee is once again all screwed up. I am so disgusted with this treacherous body. This thing has always betrayed me. I am incapacitated and pissed off. Cannot work on my house projects or art projects or anything or except lying on my ducking back with my leg elevated with ice on it.

So my psychiatrist is charging me for the whole eruption last week. Basically a long phone conversation with my therapist that precipitated our text exchange. (She has my bank card number, so that charge has already been made.)

So...she's charging me for a conversation I didn't initiate and was not involved in and that in my opinion was completely unnecessary? I'm sure our contract covers this, but this strikes me as...wrong. And vindictive.

Love it!!! (Is it wrong that I'm tempted to share all these with him? Though he'd probably appreciate it and laugh about it, too.)

And you can tell him from growly that punching walls in front of children is not cool. Not cool indeed.

Wow wow wow. We are on a break for lunch. Very emotional morning, during the 1st journey i did some powerful work and was totally bawling at one point. At the same time learning a lot about holding space for others too. This training is amazing. More later!!

I don't even see an opthomologist anymore haven't in forever. Maybe i should again. I hate how this eye wanders and makes me look weird.

"I do think that we look at getting angry and punching a wall differently. I do not think that it is good to punch a wall. It is not helpful or adaptive. It is a mistake. But I also see it as a mistake that is relatively common. That does not make it ok, but I do see it in the realm of typical. Again, that does not make it alright." (He did say more than this, and is back on my good side, but this part just jumped out at me.)

Also, probably because I have a 5-year-old, the one part made me think of a Dr. Seuss book. Like:
It is not good to punch a wall
It is not a good thing at all!
(Perhaps someone else can come up with the next line?)
I won't punch them here or there.
I won't punch them ANYWHERE!

No all Seuss is anapestic. "Green Eggs and Ham" isn't, for instance.
