What is with therapists who don't know Hamlet? You'd think the profession would love that play.
Thanks for this!

I don't want to lower the tone of the couch, but I got new under g's and socks and they are making life feel a whole lot more doable right now.

eta: I ordered online, and kept falling in love with each item and ordered more. Each shipment comes with a handwritten note. One of the notes said, "Create your own normal!" Another said, "Wear what you want!" These are the most enthusiastic and upbeat under g's I've ever gotten.
Thanks for this!

Eww. This cookie recipe on the back of the bag of chips calls for coffee grounds. Ewww!! No! That is just patently wrong.

I have not found therapists to be especially well read. The second one I see is better than the first.
The first would not understand a literary reference if her life depended on it.

I got three lacy ones (usually I'm really not a femme person) online and I feel so sexy wearing them!

Hope my mother doesn't find them in my underwear drawer though, since she'd flip out.

I make them all the time, but I am the only one who appreciates them. The woman just looks more baffled than usual and asks what I mean. Then she says she has never read or doesn't remember the book.
It is quite sad.

Cookies are baked, and hubby has already eaten half a dozen of them. I figured since I left out the coffee grounds and substituted a little extra cocoa powder, I needed a taste tester and he was happy to oblige. One became 6 very quickly. But they turned out really good.

ETA: you know, cuz I accidentally 'broke' one and well I can't take a broken one to work so I had to eat it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Does anybody else enjoy flying dreams? And when you have them, how do you fly? I fly like I'm swimming breast stroke through the air. My h flies feet first. I need one of them tonight by golly by gosh! I haven't flown in a dream in sooooooo long and I totally miss it! Funny to think about missing something I can do only in a dream. I guess that's how real dreams are to me. I dunno. In one of my favorite flying dreams ever, I was flying in a castle-like structure and looking for a window I could fly out of, and then I was sitting on one of the turrets or whatever, and then flying across this beautiful countryside.

ETA: yeah, I'm kinda all over the place tonight, I know. I think it's just the relief I've felt all day after getting t's email this morning. Plus it was a super-easy day at work today and I read a book almost all day, took only 15 calls, so I have more energy this evening than usual after working all day.

ETAA: and, I found out I made bonus for 3rd quarter and it's gonna be on my check Friday. Yay!
Thanks for this!

I just got an email from under g's that I just ordered: WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER, SO IT'S IMPORTANT WE TALK.

This is turning out to be my most significant relationship.

So i had an interesting thing happen to me tonite while i was doing laundry.

I get on the elevator for my last trip to the laundry room, push the floor i want, the doors close, and THEN TOTAL DARKNESS!! For a few seconds. Long enough for me to say, oh crap!! Then the lights come back on, elevator doors open, and i gtf outa there! I wait a few moments then call the elevator again and hope the other one shows up. It does.

In the laundry room, my drier is stopped but it still has time on it. I ask the other person in the room, did the lights go out? He goes, yeah but then they came right back on. Turns out he was in the hallway when it happened. We both got freaked out by it. I could hear people yelling.

Well the sports field next door to us is dark, so maybe they were working on it and accidentally cut our power. But what was interesting was that i didnt FEEEEEEEL anything until i was talking to my compatriot. Then i was like jittery, and shakey, and like wtf i just got stuck in an elevator!!! Then i left him and went back to my calm dispossessed self. Dispossessed.

Art - i dont fly exactly, but i drive reeeeeeallly high cars or trucks in my dreams!

Could you get two pair and give one to your therapist?

All my underg's say are Hanes. Which in Teutonic means "dwells in the hedged enclosure." Which is pretty awesome given their...ah...location, if you know what I mean.

Since we're on the subject of clothes, DBC was wearing a Harley-Davidson v-necked t-shirt today.

You might want to watch Sons of Anarchy. Although, it's said the series is a motorcycle version of Hamlet (not kidding).

I wonder if my boss is secretly judging me each time I give him the hospital "presented for treatment at the psychotherapy outpatient clinic" excuse note he has to sign before I pass it to HR.

Psychologists under my country's public healthcare system can't give medical sick leave/ medical time off as they aren't MDs, but they can give me the hospital excuse note which unfortunately is clear that it's for psychotherapy.

He has always signed the note, but each time I worry he'll ask "You've been going for so long, why aren't you recovered?"

There's a lady in another department whom someone gossiped to me that she has an eating disorder, but of course I don't dare to ask her how she is...or how she handles work and treatment...

Honestly I wish my boss didn't have to sign the note because I wish it's just between HR and me.

*hugs* So grateful for your kindness whenever I whinge. I haven't been doing well at work too (according to feedback from said boss) so I'm antsy and feeling more and more worried each time I give him that note.

Plus it sucks how my workload has increased and schedule has become really unpredictable... I can only see T once a month now. Boss keeps giving me work that I'm really anxious about, or feel completely stupid about.

I just feel (I'm paranoid maybe?) like he wants to pressure me to quit.

How was your session?
