I had the cookie dough and birthday cake flavors over Thanksgiving at a relative's house; they were ok. Looking forward to trying the lemon and the oatmeal, tho.

She ate a half gallon a day to deal with stress she said. I don't know about her other eating habits, but I know her to eat semi-regularly most of the time. Not leaning towards any particular habits, not healthy, but not as unhealthy as some I know. She doesn't drink much alcohol either.

What people don't realize is how this stuff damages the liver as people hear over and over about diabetes.

Last year I went from Mediterranean to Paleo to Vegan whole foods eating.

If you have Netflix, this documentary inspired me: https://www.netflix.com/search?q=for...45&jbp=0&jbr=0

This shows a lot of research to back up this lifestyle. I don't want to live forever, but want to feel good while I'm alive. I'm doing it for mental health and auto-immune.

I'm sticking with the Vegan for good. Dairy was the most difficult thing to eliminate as greek yogurt, parmesan cheese, and butter were part of my comfort foods. Surprising to me that eliminating dairy is more difficult than eliminating white sugar. The only real thing that can be harmful to overindulge on with this diet is whole grain sourdough breads.

I'll still eat either dairy or meat/fish once a week, no big deal.

Hey couchies! I missed y'all today while I was at work, I was not able to get on tapatalk on my phone all day. i don't know why. It was a pretty slow day, like 1/1 has been every year since I started working there, most people think we are closed. Tomorrow is when the craziness starts.

I thought tapatalk was just not being my friend today. Did anyone make any resolutions? I didn't because I know I have no intention of changing. Surprisingly I'm okay with that!

...and because it was so slow today, I had way too much time to ponder what in the heck to do about t. but perhaps i should make a separate post about that instead of clogging up the couch with it...

Haven't tried Halotop yet...but I'm going to! I finally found it. Those containers aren't very big, though. Yes, agree it's expensive.

Might try Strawberry flavor.

I tried halotop vanilla. It was not the worst thing I have ever eaten but the texture was more like ice milk or something.

Hey y'all! My phone was doing goofy things and I could get here on tapatalk. I had to come to my computer and look you up.

I hope everyone had a great New Year's day! I slept in and got up and cooked the traditional southern meal, black eyed peas, pork tenderloin and cole slaw. They are for good luck, so they say. We will see.

I'm off tomorrow and so glad I am, it will give me a chance to get the rest of the Christmas decorations put up.

I am having a hard time sleeping.. Had to do the Heimlich maneuver on my son this evening as he was choking on a raw carrot. I may never give him another carrot again. Anyways, he was fine afterwards, was breathing just fine and talking. However, I have not recovered, still all jittery from when it happened. I can't sleep.. trying to focus on the fact that he is fine now.

I couldn't sleep last night for worrying about telling my daughter a trip we had planned today wouldn't be happening. I thought she'd be really upset. I told her this morning and she cheerfully said "okay".

Well I am actually happy to go to work this morning believe it or not. They decided to pay us holiday pay for working today - meaning we get paid 8 hours of straight time, plus 8 hours of time & a half. This is gonna be a good next paycheck!! Plus it's going to be super-busy all week, always is this first week in Jan, so the added bonus is I won't have time to ruminate about this stupidly convoluted t relationship so you guys won't be hearing about that anymore til I go see her on Saturday - if I do decide to go of course. Ok I'll hush about it now. Gotta head out to work. Hoping tapatalk works today! I missed y'all yesterday at lunch!

That's scary! Glad you were able to help him.

I keep worrying my daughter will choke because she tends to shove so much food in her mouth or will talk or laugh while chewing. I keep being like, "Take small bites! Chew it up." I hope they keep an eye on her in the cafeteria (felt better when she was in pre-K and they ate in the classroom--now in cafeteria for K).
