And T said, "Being on an SSRI can also make you dream in color." To which I was like, "Wait, people don't normally dream in color? Huh." I'm pretty sure I can remember color details from my dreams. So just wondering, if you know, whether you dream in color or black & white?
I have heard that is an age thing. People who grew up with monochrome TVs and movies tend to dream in black and white, while people who are used to color in moving pictures and on TV dream in color. eta: to respond to Echos, dreams are most like TV shows or moving images in our real-world experience - so it does make some sense that people's brains would adapt once they came along.

But I also would say we can't exactly tell for sure, can we? Because any colors in dreams are provided by the subconscious ("color is the pigment of the imagination" etc.), not an actual light source. In which case, black and white should also count as colors, if colors in dreams are subconsciously significant. Or, your conscious memory of the dream might be filling in the colors, kind of like if you watch a monochrome Charlie Brown, you know Peppermint Patty's hair is red, not dark gray.
Thanks for this!

Lol! Decades tv is showing reruns of Laugh-In. They have a recurring bit where they give the news of the future - 1988. Its funny how much came true. Today they had a salute to the phone company, with a skit where you could call your stove and tell it to start cooking a roast. Unfortunately, the refrigerator answered!

Oh, interesting. My T's in her late (I think!) 60s, so maybe she dreams in B&W?

There are all kinds of nuggets buried on or linked to her website. And I haven't even finished going through the whole thing yet.

If he manspreads, going commando would be worse.

I would say muted pastel shades. Recently ive dreamt about my pink car, or my clothes, or my childhoood bedroom. I often dream of a pink tiled natatorium, or of like a Macy's, or a mall with a food court. Or airplanes. Im very busy in my dreams!

It is fantastically rainy here. I am almost afraid to post it in case I jinx it and we are level 3 water restrictions forever. Both our dams are at 25% capacity.

Well at least i would be aware of any leakage. Its the stealth that bothers me. Im talkin, and shes peein? I dont mean to be insensitive. I wonder if its the difference between the old and the old-old.

So you would rather she be totally open and sit in a puddle in her chair?

Also, she is like only 4 or 5 years older than me.

There are any number of conditions that would necessitate depends. My person has had some side effects from the chemo and she will wear them sometimes so as not to have to worry about leakage.

I agree it is an odd thing to put on a professional blog

Our resurrection kitty is still having issues with diarrhea. I am going to start giving him yogurt -- thinking we may have killed the good bugs in his gut with all the medications.

I can also tell you how many tattoos she has. I can even guess, roughly, where they are.

I doubt any client of DBC's has ever complained about her being a blank slate.

The vet I see has started having us give pro-biotics every time we give any of the pets an antibiotic

Having a strange moment reading an email from Kashi. A reminder that therapists are very human. Kashi offered a phone call on New Year's Day but let me know at a certain time he would be unavailable because he was going to go see the movie Assasins Creed I thought he had better taste than that. Kind of funny though. Can't say he doesn't have a bit of a quirk or two.

One of my Ts saw that over New Years...a friend of his wanted to go see a movie and I think there weren't many options he was interested in, so it was just something to "do" if you know what I mean. Perhaps it was the same kind of thing for Kashi.
