(((CE))) Job application writing is a skill all by itself. I'm not sure it always coincides with actual work skills.

Not that that helps you. I wish you many interviews in your near future.

I'm starting to think one of the recruitment agents has put me on the Instant Automatic Rejection List.

Aw CE, there's loads of competition for jobs in the current economic climate and what you're experiencing is very common for people seeking work. I'm sure it's nothing you're doing wrong. Don't give up

Hello couch! I'm not very good at keeping up with things on a Tuesday 'cos I'm at uni all day, but my loving mood from the early hours of this morning has certainly continued and my hugs are available for any who need them! In particular - JD you are doing amazingly well, you are incredibly strong, and you can do this. Echos - I shall think of you tomorrow (I think you see your T a couple of hours before I see mine?), and I trust your T to handle what you have to say to him brilliantly. You can do it!

I see my T tomorrow, and have written him a sort of letter as an experiment. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to give it to him though - I keep swinging back and forth about it... Or I might just delete a particular paragraph where I talk about ET. I'm trying to work out what my reasons for wanting him to know this particular thing are - and I'm not sure they're good reasons?

So I am sitting in my recliner with my laptop which is the household signal for the cats to come get some attention. So first one cat comes and is nudging around and finally settles, purring. And then the other one came. Same thing. And one of my classmates asked "How many cats do you have?" in a OMG are you one of those weird cat lady people tone of voice. I assured him that I have just the two, but I am not sure he was convinced.

Shout out to JD; hope you are feeling better. In a few days I will be 30 years clean and sober-I think that is about how old you are, right? I can still remember enough of the old days to be grateful.

Art: when my boys were the age of your son they were just done learning anything from H. They moved out and at around age 21 one of them said that H was right about some stuff after all. I think it is really normal for young men and their dads to drive each other nuts. As a culture we don't have a way for men to "come of age"; I think that adds to the conflict because the dads want the boys to be "men"-which (to many of them) means a savings account and a retirement plan.

Healed-hope the interview goes well

Now off to t for me. She likes me to be last so we can run over, but her last appointment is at 8:30, and we always start late. Last week I got in my car and it was 10:54. As in pm. If she wasn't helping there is no way I would do this. But it works. And nothing else has.

And in other news. we leave tomorrow at 4:30 am for a trip to Louisiana to help people who got flooded out last year. We are working on a house that belongs to a woman who has cancer and is living in a FEMA trailer in her driveway while undergoing chemo. Kind of puts things in perspective.

thanks kecanoe. i'm sure that's part of it with h and son. a chunk of it though too is that h never has one nice thing to say to our boy - and i hate that - like it would PAIN the man to find ONE thing that he can be proud of our son for. And there are many, he is just too blinded by his own inadequacy to see them I think. I don't know. Will be talking to t about it on friday.

Oh and thank you for the perspective bit. I may be unhappy in my marriage but I am healthy, and I should be grateful for that.

He has his critics, especially among women.

And - oh no! Look behind you! Some of them are on the couch!

I was taking a bath and drinking wine when junior cat came along, peered over the edge, then reached out his paw and pushed the wine into the water. Then he went off, tail high in the air.

What a little jerk.

This made me chuckle! Clearly you did something to miss your cat off, like take time for yourself!
