I am so glad I stuck around here instead of flouncing off into the sunset. There are so many clever, kind, and insightful people on this forum it honestly makes my heart feel like it's going to explode. Lovely strangers on the internet

I must tell the couch the good news today I got a letter that a dept of Housing house is available to me. I go and look at tomorrow and find out all the details. I have to take it as a) its a house and not a pokey unit and b) if i dont take it I got further down the list and c) I will only be paying 20% of my disabilty pension instead of nearly 55% i am paying privately. I will keep you informed.
At this rate I might be able to go back to weekly T sessions.

Hmm, coffee then? @delusion

Backed lemon cake yesterday for my whole class (we're around 20 people in my degree class, so... not really a problem). We have 2 vegans, so I made the cake vegan for them. Unfortunatley they are both absent today, due to illness. Oh well, more cake for us then

T agreed with me that it might be better to just remove the stitches myself instead of sitting around and waiting for the primary health care centre to get back to me.

[edited to add: for those who don't know, my T is a medical doctor as well, so he is qualified to give that kind of advice. And he prefaced it with all kinds of admonitions about making sure the wound is really healed and things like that.]

Hihi... cake for 20 people is just one rather large cake, nothing more

We're actually the smallest degree class at my university... there are some with around 500 people (well, in the first year, before half of them fail their exams )

That's what I was thinking! I usually bring buns or biscuits or similar to one of my seminar with my oral proficiency group, which is 15-20 students. I have never baked for them, though, and I am full of admiration for anyone who'd do that!

In what feels like a former lifetime these days, I wrote for an online magazine. They've sent a number of calls for submissions out since I tanked last April. This April's issue is on the theme of betrayal, and the deadline for pitches is in four hours. I don't know what to do. I've emailed R, but we won't talk until Thursday. Even retelling my experience to a friend makes me twitchy and emotional. It's not as if I can write anonymously either...there's enough about this in the public domain that if somebody wanted to, they could 'unmask' me.

*smh* *smh* *smh*

Morning couchies! I get to go in half hour later today because I have training today and tomorrow, so I have a lil more time to visit this morning.

All quiet on the home front, no further emotional outbursts between son and h, however I feel like I am just going through the motions in my marriage. I have not made the mistake of saying "i love you" to h since that evening when he made the hurtful statement, and it has not been difficult - I haven't wanted to say it because I haven't felt it. Sigh. Wish I knew what to do - try to get him to go to marriage counseling again? If nothing else to figure out if our marriage is even worth trying to save at this point? Questions, questions. At least I'm not being stubborn where t is concerned anymore, I'll see her on Friday to talk about all of this.

Hi guys
At 3pm today I will be 72 hours without opiates

I slept last night. There was no akathisia
I am so thankful... it did take me 3 or 4 hours to fall asleep

I woke up at 7am and I drove into a national forest near me. I went to a waterfall there. Here is a picture. It was quiet and calm except for the rushing water

Art, I feel so bad for you that you feel like work is an escape. In a perfect word-home is supposed to be a welcoming environment to go home to after a shift at work. A place to unwind from the day and get read for the next day. I'm sorry you don't feel that way in your own home when H is there.
